My Perfect Weekend Getaway

in Indiaunited5 days ago

The weight of adulthood can be so overwhelming; most times it feels like the world is constantly making demands from us, which can make you feel drained and exhausted, and more often than not what we most times need is a break from the world, a chance to just disappear even if it's just for a day to recharge both the mind and body.

While motherhood is a beautiful experience, we can't deny how exhausting it can be. Sometimes I just want to be away from my kids, even if it's just for a day, without hearing "Mummy, I want to eat," or "Mummy, I am done pooping," or "Mummy, I want to wee-wee," and the list is just endless. Then there's work and also house chores, so the body does deserve as much rest as it can get.

I and some of my friends are making plans for a weekend getaway sometime next year, but at the moment my perfect weekend for me would be in a faraway quiet place, with no alarms, no deadlines, no phone calls, and no responsibilities—just pure relaxation in a serene place full of nature all alone.

I would want a place close to the beach where I can walk along the path listening to the waves and enjoying the beauty of the world. I would want the place to have a perfect view of the sunrise and sunset; during the morning I would admire and look at how beautiful the sunrise is, while in the evening I would admire the sunset in my quiet space while sitting by my window.

Also, I would want to eat different varieties of simple but delicious meals while enjoying how the fresh breeze caresses my whole body.

Since I am not someone that loves sleeping, most times I only sleep at night, so I make sure I have a book to read or listen to good soft music while munching on snacks. I would make sure to get all the rest and relaxation I can get because when I get back home, there will be more responsibility waiting for me.

THANK YOU FOR READING TO THE END 🤗

I can relate to you wanting to get away from mummy this mummy that. Kids are just a lot to deal with.

Sounds like a perfect getaway plan, I hope you will find the time you need to relax and recharge.

I really hope so too. Thank you 😊
