Hello hivers. I wish you the best in all that you do today.
Like humans, I believe animals too grow well and can adapt to any situation or corrections as long as we as the ones who own them don't give up on them.
Smart my cat got to my home three months ago as a little kitten. I remember that evening just like yesterday when she climbed down from the box I brought her in and went to hide behind my generator which was sitting at a Conner in my sitting room.
I remember her crying at night for her first few days in my home and how I would wake up to feed her milk as that was the only thing she fed on then. I did not forget how tender , mild and delicate she looked when I first adopted her.
I remember packing her poo around the house and having to mop the house twice a day for the fear of having stepped on her wee before observing solar(prayers). I also did not forget ranting about how she turned my bedroom into her loo and how your suggestion helped out about that.
For now, Smart has learnt a lot of things and has grown to be a member of my family. In fact, when all my family members are gathered and smart is absent I ask her immediately as if she is human. Also she has learnt how to hunt things like cockroaches and geckos around the house.
The first time Smart saw a cockroach, she was playing it as if they were siblings, then I grabbed a broom and hit the cockroach. What happened next was that smart hunted down the second one within a few seconds then I knew that my little beautiful cat is a fast learner.
Presently she does her loo neatly at her loo Conner. I recently discovered that she chose one part of her loo bucket to poo and the other one to pee. “What a wise cat”. She goes out and stands by me every morning when I go to change the sand in her loo bucket though she does not like to stay outside for long.
My neighbors call her burtty Smart as she does not like to play outside and mingle with the other cats in the neighborhood but I call her posh because she is actually showing class. My only fear is that this character of hers should not affect her hunting ability.
For feeding, Smart feeds on anything we feed on as a family but she likes beans and its products a lot. Whenever we cook porridge, pudding or bean cake she eats double portions. Another amazing thing about smart is that she eats together with us in the living room.
I make sure to feed her on milk at least four to five times a week even if she does not really like milk. She prefers to snack on our local snacks like bread, chinchin, kokoro and the rest but I still make sure she takes milk as recommended by her doctor.
For protein, I feed her on prawn, fish, meat and sometimes Chess or any other protein we feed on as a family. Her climbing game has really improved too. When we are taking an afternoon nap as a family, Smart likes to climb the window and play with the cottons. The list is endless. I just want you guys to know that Smart, our beautiful kitten, is growing.
