समुदाय के प्यारे सदस्यों को नमस्कार। मुझे आशा है कि आप सभी अच्छे होंगे और अपने प्रियजनों के साथ गुणवत्तापूर्ण समय का आनंद ले रहे है।
I took these pictures a day before it finally snowed. I wasn’t sure if it would actually happen. I’d only heard a few people mention that snow might be on the way. I didn’t even bother checking the weather. I just felt like it was better to step out and stock up on a few things, just in case the weather turned bad and I wouldn’t feel like going out later.
ये तस्वीरें बर्फ़बारी से ठीक एक दिन पहले ली गई थीं। मुझे पूरी तरह यक़ीन नहीं था कि सच में बर्फ़ पड़ेगी । बस लोगों के बीच थोड़ी-बहुत बातें सुनने को मिल रही थीं कि शायद बर्फ़ आ सकती है। मैंने मौसम देखने की भी ज़हमत नहीं उठाई। बस मन में यही था कि एहतियातन बाहर निकलकर ज़रूरी सामान ले आऊँ, क्या पता मौसम बिगड़ जाए और फिर बाहर जाने का मन न करे।
Looking back, it really felt like the calm before the storm. The air was unusually chilly, colder than the days before. The sun was out, but it offered little warmth, almost as if it was there only in name. Cold winds kept sweeping through, carrying a quiet heaviness.
बाहर निकलते समय मैंने ये तस्वीरें भी ले लीं। अब जब पीछे मुड़कर देखती हूँ, तो सच में यह तूफ़ान से पहले की शांति जैसा लग रहा है। ठंड कुछ ज़्यादा ही थी, पहले के दिनों से कहीं अधिक। धूप थी, लेकिन उसका कोई ख़ास असर नहीं था । जैसे बस नाम की धूप हो। ठंडी हवाएँ लगातार चल रही थीं और वातावरण में एक अजीब-सी ख़ामोशी थी, मानो पूरा शहर किसी बदलाव का इंतज़ार कर रहा हो।
