A few days ago, I was coming back from the market in the evening and like always I instinctively looked for the sunset. It has become a habit at this point I do not even think about it anymore. And thankfully I was not too late that day.
कुछ दिन पहले मैं शाम को बाज़ार से वापस आ रही थी और हमेशा की तरह मैंने बिना सोचे ही सूर्यास्त ढूंढना शुरू कर दिया। अब यह एक आदत बन गई है, मैं इसके बारे में सोचती भी नहीं हूँ। और अच्छी बात यह रही कि उस दिन मैं देर से नहीं पहुँची।
The view opened up as I walked along the road and I could see the sun sitting low between the hills. The sky had that mix of blue and warm orange but what stood out were the clouds. They were stretched out in these soft uneven patterns not too dramatic but still really nice to look at. It was not one of those perfect postcard sunsets but honestly that is what made it better.
जैसे ही मैं सड़क पर आगे बढ़ी, सामने का नज़ारा खुल गया और मैंने सूरज को पहाड़ियों के बीच नीचे की ओर ढलते हुए देखा। आसमान में नीले और गर्म नारंगी रंगों का सुंदर मेल था, लेकिन जो सबसे ज़्यादा ध्यान खींच रहा था, वो बादल थे। वे हल्के और अनियमित पैटर्न में फैले हुए थे, ज़्यादा नाटकीय नहीं, लेकिन देखने में बहुत अच्छे लग रहे थे। यह कोई बिल्कुल परफेक्ट पोस्टकार्ड जैसा सूर्यास्त नहीं था, लेकिन सच कहूँ तो वही इसे और खास बना रहा था।
A little further ahead there was this tree along the roadside mostly bare with just a few leaves left. It caught some of the warm light and stood out against the sky.
थोड़ा आगे जाने पर सड़क किनारे एक पेड़ दिखा, जो लगभग सूखा था और उस पर बस कुछ ही पत्ते बचे थे। उस पर पड़ती हल्की गर्म रोशनी उसे अलग ही उभार दे रही थी और वह आसमान के सामने साफ नज़र आ रहा था।
I took out my phone and clicked a few pictures not trying too hard just capturing whatever looked nice in the moment. I already knew the photos would not look exactly how it felt being there but still it is nice to have something to look back at later.
मैंने अपना फोन निकाला और कुछ तस्वीरें ले लीं, ज़्यादा कोशिश किए बिना, बस जो उस पल अच्छा लगा उसे कैद कर लिया। मुझे पहले से ही पता था कि तस्वीरें वैसा महसूस नहीं करा पाएंगी जैसा वहाँ उस समय होना था, लेकिन फिर भी बाद में याद करने के लिए कुछ होना अच्छा लगता है।
