A few photos from a recent hike to the Voter Brook Overview in Salisbury, Vermont. We took the North Branch trail which runs from Lake Dunmore up to the overlook.
It was a cloudy day. Still decent views across the Lake Champlain Valley to the Adirondack Mountains.
Pano shows the sky but also the green, green meadow and trees.
Once we got under the forest canopy we found some trilium.
Most of the trilium around here is done for the season but it depends on the amount of shade.
We also found some lady slippers.
They were not open but still pretty.
Towards the upper reaches of Sucker Brook there are some beaver ponds. Nice reflections of the treeline.
