We visited the Woodstock, Vermont yesterday and the Norman Williams Public Library.

The beautiful library was built 1883. More info on history Here

The exposed wooden beams supporting the ceiling dominate the space but all the details are wonderful like this reading room.

This wooden door no longer goes anywhere but was exposed on the wall at the second floor height.

The study carrels on the the second level are beautifully done down to the wooden chairs.

Some nice stained glass and leaded glass was used in the windows.

But the massive ceiling beams keep drawing your eyes upward.

Each row of shelves had two step stool at the end of the row against the wall. Another perfect detail.

One final look at the second floor. What a great find along the Woodstock Village Green 🙂
