Beautiful life!
It's Tuesday, and the day is synonymous with tunes or music for us who have grown accustomed to Ablaze's Three Tune Tuesday (TTT) initiative. If you're new and wondering what it is, here's the jist:
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.(src)
If you're not yet in, I invite you to join us and explore different music genres and styles each week. Discovering new tunes or artists is fun. We get to encounter musicians or songs we never knew before and may like for a little while or for life.
Today, I'm highlighting Louisa Rose Allen, better known as Foxes whom I came across a few months ago. Her bio on Wiki indicates she's an English singer, songwriter, and producer. Her songs are mostly Pop, Electronic, and Dance. Accordingly, she has written and produced music for other artists (Kylie Minogue, Ed Sheeran, Demi Lovato, and Taylor Swift). In addition to her career, she also advocates mental health awareness and gender equality.
Anyway, here are 3 of her songs that I enjoyed the most:
Foxes & Zedd - Clarity
A collaboration with Zedd, the Russian-German DJ and dance producer. The song was released as a single in November 2012 and became a major hit in 2013, reaching 8th on the US Billboard Hot 100 and 1st on the Hot Dance Club Songs. It was certified double platinum in Australia, gold in the UK (27th on the UK Singles Chart) and platinum in the US.
It won the Best Dance Recording Award on the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.(src)
And here's tune number 2:
Foxes - Holding onto Heaven
The song started a bit gloomy then bam!
This is the third track from her debut album Glorious which was released in 2014. Per Wiki, it was iTunes' free song of the week in Christmas 2013. The song debuted at number 14 on the UK Singles Charts and 10th on the US Dance Club Songs (Billboard).
And the 3rd tune for the day:
Foxes - Amazing
Aha, a fun song! Its upbeat tempo gives a mood-lifting vibe. This was the third single of Foxes' second studio album All I Need released in December 2015.
And with that, let me end my recommendation for the week and I hope you like them too. Thank you and have a funtabulous day!
