Let's get back to the 2000s with some iconic music videos ๐
I'm very excited to share these songs with you all on Three Tune Tuesday ๐ถ I've been on a binge of listening to some oldies from my childhood (the years 1998-2010), and some of these music videos have brought back such an incredible rush of nostalgia. Please join me on a trip down memory lane!
The first song that I have for you is So Yesterday by Hillary Duff. I honestly cried when this song popped up on the playlist -- I haven't heard this song since elementary school! ๐ฅน
Everything about this song and video brings back so many feelings... I miss the "pretty boy" days, when the female protagonist of every video was in love with a sunkissed, bleached tips bad boy -- it was such a vibe ๐ฅบ
Also, the Polaroid shots, oh my gosh... Something about mailing the photos just made me so sad; I truly miss these days...
The second song: Too Little, Too Late by Jojo (I miss Jojo! ๐ญ The OG, not Siwa! ๐). When this song first came out, it made me yearn for my first boyfriend so badly!
The vibe of this video is wonderful too: the photo booth with the boyfriend, winning a stuffed animal at the carnival, rooting for them at their game... I still get shivers at the "Mariah Carey" notes at the end ๐
Anyway, I was only 11-years-old, and this was my breakup song for my imaginary boyfriend ๐๐
I'll end off the list with the most iconic song of the three: Say My Name by Destiny's Child.
Not much needs to be said about this one -- I think we're ALL familiar! ๐ Destiny's Child was absolutely revolutionary, and even though we all used to joke that it was "backup singers in Beyoncรฉ's group," the three (four?) of them together were undefeated.
Anyway, legendary music video. This was a very early example of "moving floors," when sets would merge into one another. And, of course, the wardrobe is incredible; orange is my favorite! ๐
