BEHIND THE MACRO LENS // Exotic Details and the Dynamic Interaction of Two Flies in Macro Photography .

Good night to all my beloved hive friends ❤️

I am almost 99% sure that everyone knows this insect; yes, this is a fly. In general, flies are indeed known as one of the dirtiest insects and can carry various types of diseases. I am even sure that there are so many people who dislike and hate this insect, and that is not wrong. However, if we look at it from a different perspective, perhaps we will be able to see some of the differences and uniqueness that this insect has. One way to do that is by looking at it from a close distance.

This is a fly that most likely belongs to the Sarcophagidae family. This particular fly can easily be found around home yards and is very attracted to dirty places, such as areas around carcasses, meat, or rotten organic waste. Honestly, I am someone who really hates flies; I would even immediately throw away food that has been landed on by a fly. They are always around and sometimes in large numbers.
However, these photographic results have managed to slightly change the way I see this particular insect.

From a close distance, we can clearly see the shape and color of this fly, and the part that attracts my attention the most is its two compound eyes with a bright red color, which look very striking among the other colors.
It turns out that this fly is also covered with fine hairs all over its body, which are most visible on its legs. And this is its advantage : when we observe it through a macro lens, we will realize that this is an insect that we often consider ordinary, yet it actually reveals extraordinary anatomical details and the hidden beauty of the small world around us.

Alright, I myself managed to find this fly in front of my house, precisely on top of an ornamental plant. At first, I was not interested in this fly at all, but seeing a pair of flies mating made me think that if I managed to photograph these two flies, it would become an extraordinary piece of my macro photography, and that is what eventually made me interested in trying to photograph them.

Flies are very fast insects and are extremely sensitive to even the slightest movement. This is because flies have a pair of compound eyes equipped with thousands of individual lenses.
However, at that time, I was able to easily photograph this pair of flies. I even managed to photograph them from various different angles and also from a very close distance. I don't know what made this pair of flies so incredibly docile; perhaps it was because the two flies were enjoying their mating moment.

By looking at some of the pictures of the flies that I have shared, have they also managed to slightly change your perspective on these insects.?
However, flies are still very dangerous insects, not because they have painful bites or stings, but because flies can carry various dangerous diseases and viruses. Therefore, it is highly recommended to avoid direct contact with flies.
