[ES/EN] Algunas Astereaceae y más... mi entrada al concurso de Phone Photography /Some Astereceae and more...my Phone Photography contest entry

in Feel Good17 days ago

Hola #hivers

Hello #hivers

A new edition of the Phone Photography contest and a new entry from me. As you already know, the place where I work is rich in nature. But this time I limited myself to taking the pictures in the gardens of the building where I carry out my daily activities. This is a good time to take pictures as it's raining frequently, which makes the plants look their most splendid form.

Originally, my goal was to photograph some plants from the Asteraceae family (Sunflowers, Daisies, Dandelions, and many others) - a group of plants I find very beautiful and fascinating.

So I went out to the garden, phone in hand ready for the task... And I accomplished it.

I came across these tiny plants forming a sort of green carpet with medium-sized inflorescences (3 to 5 cm in diameter) covering much of the building's interior garden. A very striking sight.

In the outer garden, there's another plant that typically blooms this time of year. I went out to look for it, and it wasn't difficult to find at all. This is a type of small daisy, with white ray florets and yellow tubular disc florets at the center. The inflorescences are quite small, measuring between 1 and 2 cm in diameter—but very beautiful.

This one is more subtle and not as dominant, but it also forms small patches.

While I originally set out to photograph Asteraceae, I came across two other beautiful plants that I decided to capture as well - one being a terrestrial orchid.

Then there's this other plant I can't quite identify, but it's gorgeous and has a lovely fragrance.

That's all for today's garden tour, #Hivers! See you next time!

You can see the green with fresh flowers smiling, waiting for rain here once again it is dusty and dry to say the least.

It is part of the circle, the more dryer the season the more astonishing the change when starts to rain

Smell of rain arriving, then again when it's falling, walking out after the rain, living in dry countries it is like music to ones soul.

I don't live in a dry country per se I'm lucky enough of living in a Megadiverse country so there both ends of the spectrum here and several intermediate stages too. But, I do work in a semi desert (less than 400 mm of yearly rain) so I can definitely relate with what you are describing. Also the feeling of seeing everything come to life in a matter of hours after the rain is impressive.

Saludos.

Me alegro mucho que te gustaran. Las margaritas son muy bellas.
Saludos

Thanks

Very nice photography! Although all the flowers are very beautiful, the most stunning photo is the one in which the sunlight is falling directly on a yellow flower and it is shining like gold. 🌼

wow,, more beautiful flowers again.. lovely daisies.. they look so simple, yet so elegant.. and the last flower looks familiar.. I think we also have it here in my country,, but I can't remember the name, too 😆🤣..

Thank you, I looks like that last one has a very elusive name. Let's see if I can correct that.
