Hello Diy lovers, trust you're all doing great! I’m super excited to finally share this craft with you. Sunflowers have always been special to me especially aa they symbolize positivity and happiness, and I decided to recreate that joy with cardboard paper!
The sunflower was easy to make and it turned out really beautiful!
Yellow and pink gives a soft warm feel, so I chose to use them for the petals. You can try to use other colors too, maybe a bold orange or a pastel shade for a unique touch, but for this post we're working with yellow and pink for petals and green for the stem.
So to start, I got my cardboard paper, I used pink, yellow and green cardboard.
So first I marked a circle on the pink cardboard and cut it out. Then fold the circle into four

Next I made fringes on the paper, the opened it up and then bent the fringes slightly inwards. Also I cut a straight path to the middle of the paper. That's where I fold from

Next I fold up the paper like you see below:
Next I repeated the same thing using the the yellow cardboard, this time the circle was 2.5 inches smaller than the first one

So at this point we had the both of them ready.
Next I glued the yellow onto the pink and set it aside.
With the petals ready, it was time to create the stem, so I got the green cardboard. Cut out a 10:5 inches rectangular shape.
Then I folded it into a tiny cone and glued together. Then made little fringes on the edge

Next I glued the petals I made on the cone and we are almost done
For the final touch I traced out two leaf shapes and attached it to the tiny cone

And just like that, my paper sunflower was complete.
Is this a childish activity? Maybe, but I absolutely loved doing it. Creating even the smallest things beings me joy and I loved being able to make this paper sunflower.
If you don't have cardboard, thick construction paper or even leftover gift wrap can also work for this project. Also if you want a bigger sunflower, just scale up the measurements and you have it bigger!
I thank you all so much for your time here, I hope you also enjoy creating and sharing, see you all next time!
