Hıdırellez celebrations, the ancient tradition of Anatolia, and to continue this beautiful tradition; We participate in trails and nature walks. Our route is Antalya Kumluca Alakır location.
Hıdırellez is a tradition celebrated under different names in Anatolia and many parts of the world. It is a festival held on the night between May 5th and May 6th. It is called the symbol of fertility and abundance. Today we took a 10 km walk with the theme "Wedding dress of the Taurus Mountains; cedar forests".
From the peak of the Taurus Mountains: from the shadow of the cedar trees: we followed the footsteps of the nomads. We saw unique beauties that are not unfamiliar at all in a wild nature. The vegetation change that started while climbing to the summit turned into a completely different format at the summit.
We looked at the trees in the monumental Srdir forest at the peak of the Taurus Mountains with admiration and respect. Despite everything and especially people, they are standing and living.
Alakır valley is decorated with colorful wildflowers. You want to dance on one side for hours, turn over and lie on your back. On the one hand, you cannot resist this unique beauty.
The scent of cedar and pine trees spread everywhere in the valley. They hit your face with the wind. A fire was lit for the Hıdırellez tradition. We collected lots of bushes from around to make the fire bigger. We jumped over the fire. It's a very old tradition. You jump over the fire, making a wish, and wishing for your sins to disappear in the fire. We put leaves, a symbol of spring, in our hair. And we made a lot of wishes.
It was very enjoyable to sit and relax after the nature walk and around the fire. Since the weather was cold, we warmed up by fire and drank tea. We walked. We walked..
I was very tired when we came home in the evening. But I didn't forget to leave a wish coin under the rose for Hıdırellez. I wished health, happiness and plenty of money to the roses and buried the money. I put basic foods such as tea, sugar, salt, flour and rice in small plates. I put a lucky coin for me and my daughter in the middle and let it sit on the balcony for a day. Then, by making the intention in the morning; I put these back for the others. The aim is to avoid famine throughout the year.
Hıdırellez means the reunion of Hızır and İlyas in Anatolia. I hope throughout the year; May Hızır protect us, may İlyas come to our rescue. Thank you very much for reading.

Hıdırellez Anadolu'da ve dünyanın bir çok yerinde farklı isimlerle kutlanam bir gelenek. 5 Mayısı 6 Mayıs'a bağlayan gece yapılan bir şölen. Bereket ve bolluğun simgesi olarak adlandırılıyor. Bugün "Toros dağlarının gelinliği; sedir ormanları’’ temalı 10 km bir yürüyüş yaptık.
Torosların zirvesinden: sedir ağaçlarının gölgesinden: göçebelerin izlerini takip ettik. Yabani bir doğada hiç de yabancı olmayan eşsiz güzellikleri gördük. Zirveye tırmanırken başlayan bitki örtüsü değişimi zirvede bambaşka bir formata döndü.
Torosların zirvesinde anıt srdir ormanında ki ağaçlara 🌲 hayranlık ve saygı ile baktık. Her şeye ve özellikle insanlara rağmen ayaktalar ve yaşıyorlar.
Alakır vadisi rengarenk kır çiçekleri ile süslenmiş. Bir tarafınız üzerinde saatlerce dans etmek dönmek ve sırt üstü yatmak istiyor. Bir yandan bu eşsiz güzelliğe kıyamıyorsunuz.
Vadide sedir ve çam ağaçlarının kokusu her yere yayılmış. Rüzgarla yüzünüze vuruyorlar. Hıdırellez geleneği için ateş yakıldı. Ateşin büyük olması için etraftan bolca çalı topladık. Ateşin üzerinizden atladık. Çok eski bir gelenek.Dilek dilereyerek ateşten atlıyorsunuz ve günahlarınızın ateşte yok olmasını diliyorsunuz. Saçlarımıza bahar simgesi yapraklar koyduk. Ve bolca dilek diledik.
Doğa yürüyüşü sonrası ve ateş etrafında oturmak ve dinlenmek çok keyifliydi. Hava soğuduğu için ateşle ısındık ve çay içtik. Yürüdük. Yürüdük..
Akşam eve geldiğimizde çok yorgundum. Ama hıdırellez için gül dibine dilek parası bırakmayı unutmadım. Güllere sağlık, mutluluk ve bol para dilem ve paraları gömdüm. Evdeki cay, şeker, tuz, un ve pirinç gibi temel gıdaları ufak tabaklara koydum. Ortasına da bana ve kızıma şans parası koyarak balkonda bir gün beklettim. Sonra sabah niyet ederek; bunları diğerleri için geri koydum. Amaç yıl boyu kıtlık yaşamamak.
