Hoy le mostraremos la historia de otro hiver que se ha destacado por su producción literaria, traemos las impresiones y experiencia de @germanandradeg. En su blog podemos deleitarnos con sus historias, las cuales nos cautivan tras cada línea

1. Cuéntanos un poco de ti. ¿Quién eres fuera de la pantalla de Hive? (Profesión, hobbies, de dónde eres, etc.)
Caraqueño, ingeniero de sistemas jubilado dedicado a la edición de imágenes y videos. Escribo cuentos una vez al mes para una empresa europea como ghostwriter. Además, junto con mis hermanos, dirijo una pequeña empresa distribuidora de mobiliario y accesorios para carnicerías, restaurantes y supermercados.
2. ¿Cómo llegaste a Hive y cuál fue tu primera impresión?
Llegué en pandemia, en el 2020, buscando obtener ingresos vía online. Estando en lo que era Twitter, me topé con una publicación de Daniel Velez de Rutablockchain y sentí curiosidad. Él me invitó a su grupo de WhatsApp en donde explicaban cómo crear la cuenta, de qué trataba todo. Al principio era aterrador. Yo ya venía de escribir, pero locuras en Facebook. En Hive me frenaban mucho las comunidades y sus reglas. Paso a paso fui asimilando la forma de trabajar y fui probando con varios nichos hasta que identifiqué lo que me gusta.
3. ¿Cuál es la diferencia más grande que ves entre las redes sociales convencionales (como Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) y las redes sociales que hay dentro de Hive?
La diferencia más grande es la propiedad del contenido y la monetización: en las redes convencionales, los datos y las ganancias pertenecen a la corporación, mientras que en Hive el usuario es dueño de su cuenta y recibe recompensas directas. Yo las manejo todas y cada una tiene su propósito. Para mí, las redes de la Web2 permiten llegar a un público del cual obtengo clientes para mi negocio; lamentablemente, en Hive todavía no he logrado ese mismo resultado.
4. Si tuvieras que definir Hive en una sola frase, ¿cuál sería?
Hive es el hogar donde tu creatividad te pertenece y tu voz tiene valor.
5. ¿En qué comunidades sueles publicar o interactuar con mayor frecuencia y por qué?
Me gusta mucho Literatos; allí puedo dar a conocer mis historias. Holos&Lotus es perfecta para las reflexiones. Freewriters me encanta porque todos los días proponen un tema para escribir, lo cual ayuda a ejercitar el modo creativo para la escritura. Extraño mucho Hipaliterario en Hispapro.
6. ¿Cuál ha sido tu mayor logro o la experiencia más gratificante que has tenido en Hive hasta ahora?
No hay un logro único, sino una serie de momentos inolvidables e impactantes que me han impulsado a hacer lo que hago hoy en día. Mi primer podcast lo hice para 3Speak/Hive; en un episodio realicé una presentación para la comunidad de Espavlog y allí las ballenas me dieron con todo. Salí más contento que muchachito comiendo mocos.
En Hive he conocido gente maravillosa. Y tal vez lo más significativo: aprendí a escribir, a editar imágenes y a dar rienda suelta a mi yo creativo. Hive: una escuelita, una experiencia de mucho valor.
7. ¿Qué fue lo más difícil de aprender en tus inicios?
Como era un mundo totalmente nuevo, me costó ubicar mi nicho. Veía que los escritores, músicos, artistas y amantes de la cocina eran quienes se llevaban las mejores recompensas. Yo, al no escribir ni verme como músico o creador de imágenes, me sentía desubicado. Tuve que recorrer infinidad de comunidades y equivocarme mucho hasta que empecé a conocer a los creadores; gracias al apoyo de varios miembros destacados, fui progresando. Todavía sigo en ese proceso: soy un eterno aprendiz.
8. ¿Cómo describirías tu visión a futuro dentro del ecosistema de Hive?
Creo que mi etapa como creador de contenido en Hive está cerca de llegar a su fin. Me gustaría trabajar tras bastidores, pero es algo que todavía estoy evaluando; debo determinar exactamente qué aportaría y de qué manera. Hoy en día tengo tantas ocupaciones que, por el momento, el tiempo me resulta muy limitado.
9. ¿Qué consejo le darías a un hiver que apenas está comenzando?
Lo primero que le diría es que en Hive no se va a hacer millonario; por lo tanto, si viene buscando solo dinero, está pelao: mejor que siga de largo. Pero si se lo propone y trabaja duro, con amor, pasión y respetando las reglas, podrá lograr metas que ni se imagina. Como dije antes, Hive es una escuelita, una universidad donde mejoras lo que ya sabes e incluso descubres dones que jamás hubieses soñado, como me pasó a mí.
Respetar las reglas, ubicar tu nicho, tener constancia, hacer comunidad, leer a otros, no decepcionarse y ser paciente: el tiempo lo recompensará.
10. Si quieres explicarle Hive a un familiar o amigo, para que se una a la plataforma, ¿qué le dirías para convencerlo?
No me gusta hacer proselitismo de ningún tipo ni que me lo hagan. Sin embargo, si noto que algún familiar, amigo o conocido tiene aptitudes y busca un espacio para plasmar su creatividad, lo invitaría a leer a algunos autores y le explicaría cómo se bate el cobre. Dependiendo de su nicho, le mostraría contenidos de otros creadores para ver si se siente identificado y, si le gusta, lo apoyaría en su ingreso. Eso es algo que me hubiese gustado tener en mis inicios.
11. Para finalizar, ¿Has tenido alguna experiencia directa con Hispapro? Si es así, ¿qué tal ha sido?
Hispapro es lo máximo. A su líder, Jonatan, lo veo como un ser transparente y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Mis primeros cuentos los escribí para Hispaliterario y ¡cómo disfrutaba de ello! Cada cierto tiempo proponían un tema y yo esperaba con ansiedad ese momento para empezar a escribir; lo disfruté al máximo. Aunque todavía no he trabajado directamente con su equipo, espero que pronto nuestros universos coincidan; estoy seguro de que algo muy bueno surgirá de ello.

1. Tell us a little about yourself. Who are you outside of Hive? (Profession, hobbies, where you're from, etc.)
I'm from Caracas, a retired systems engineer who now spends his time editing images and videos. I write stories once a month for a European company as a ghostwriter. I also run a small business with my brothers, distributing furniture and accessories for butchers, restaurants, and supermarkets.
2. How did you find Hive and what was your first impression?
I arrived during the pandemic in 2020, looking to earn income online. While on Twitter, I came across a post by Daniel Velez from Rutablockchain and was curious. He invited me to his WhatsApp group where they explained how to create an account and what it was all about. At first, it was scary. I already had experience writing, but only crazy stuff on Facebook. At Hive, I was held back a lot by the communities and their rules. Step by step, I learned how to work and tried out different niches until I found what I liked.
3. What is the biggest difference you see between conventional social networks (such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and the social networks within Hive?
The biggest difference is content ownership and monetization: on conventional networks, the data and profits belong to the corporation, while on Hive, the user owns their account and receives direct rewards. I use all of them, and each one has its purpose. For me, Web2 networks allow me to reach an audience from which I get customers for my business; unfortunately, I haven't achieved that same result on Hive yet.
4. If you had to define Hive in one sentence, what would it be?
Hive is the home where your creativity belongs to you and your voice has value.
5. Which communities do you post or interact with most often, and why?
I really like Literatos; there I can share my stories. Holos&Lotus is perfect for reflections. I love Freewriters because every day they propose a topic to write about, which helps exercise creative writing. I really miss Hipaliterario on Hispapro.
6. What has been your greatest achievement or most rewarding experience at Hive so far?
There isn't one single achievement, but rather a series of unforgettable and impactful moments that have driven me to do what I do today. I made my first podcast for 3Speak/Hive; in one episode, I gave a presentation to the Espavlog community, and the whales gave me everything they had. I left happier than a kid eating snot.
I've met wonderful people at Hive. And perhaps most significantly, I learned to write, edit images, and unleash my creative self. Hive: a little school, a very valuable experience.
7. What was the most difficult thing to learn when you started out?
Since it was a whole new world, I had a hard time finding my niche. I saw that writers, musicians, artists, and foodies were the ones getting the best rewards. Since I didn't write or see myself as a musician or image creator, I felt out of place. I had to explore countless communities and make a lot of mistakes before I started to get to know the creators; thanks to the support of several prominent members, I began to progress. I'm still in that process: I'm an eternal learner.
8. How would you describe your vision for the future within the Hive ecosystem?
I think my time as a content creator on Hive is coming to an end. I would like to work behind the scenes, but it's something I'm still evaluating; I need to determine exactly what I would contribute and in what way. I have so many things going on right now that, for the moment, my time is very limited.
9. What advice would you give to a Hiver who is just starting out?
The first thing I would say is that you're not going to get rich on Hive, so if you're only looking for money, you're out of luck—you're better off moving on. But if you set your mind to it and work hard, with love, passion, and respect for the rules, you can achieve goals you never imagined. As I said before, Hive is a little school, a university where you improve what you already know and even discover gifts you never dreamed of, as happened to me.
Respect the rules, find your niche, be consistent, build a community, read others, don't be disappointed, and be patient: time will reward you.
10. If you wanted to explain Hive to a family member or friend to get them to join the platform, what would you say to convince them?
I don't like proselytizing of any kind, nor do I like it when others do it to me. However, if I notice that a family member, friend, or acquaintance has talent and is looking for a space to express their creativity, I would invite them to read some authors and explain how it works. Depending on their niche, I would show them content from other creators to see if they identify with it, and if they like it, I would support them in joining. That's something I would have liked to have had when I was starting out.
11. Finally, have you had any direct experience with Hispapro? If so, how was it?
Hispapro is the best. I see its leader, Jonatan, as a transparent person who is always willing to help. I wrote my first stories for Hispaliterario, and I enjoyed it so much! Every so often, they would propose a theme, and I would eagerly await that moment to start writing; I enjoyed it to the fullest. Although I haven't worked directly with their team yet, I hope that our worlds will soon collide; I'm sure something very good will come of it.
