Remembering the Fun We Had During The Manggahan Festival (Mango Festival)

πŸ’šπŸ’š Manggahan Core Memories πŸ’šπŸ’š

Great day, everyone!!

As I was relaxing on my hammock under the tree, I scrolled through my gallery. 😊

I love taking pictures, but I don't post them on social media; I just keep them 🀭 or post here on HIVE. I feel more open here. I'm confident no one will criticize my photos 😜

Anyway, here are a few photos I took of the Manggahan Festival a few years ago. I noticed a few improvements from this year's celebration.

Let's start with the "GUIMARAS" sign.

As you can see from the photos, the concrete sign was painted plain white. They put some LED strips (not sure if that's the right term) to make the letters more visible at night. There's the iconic mango before the word, but there's no light.

Now, the sign is colorful. Each letter has different colors, such as yellow, green, blue, red, etc.

Here's the Mango lantern near the registration area. It's about 5 feet tall, and so bright that you can see it from afar.

During this year's Manggahan festival, they recreated this lantern and made it even bigger.

Here are a few more attractions during the Manggahan Festival. There's a photo arch made from wood and amakan or woven bamboo mats. There's another arch on the other side of the area, which serves as the entrance to the trade fair and culinary events. Smaller mango lanterns were hanging.

On every opening day of the festival, the Province invites some famous artists to perform. This always makes the first day more memorable and fun for everyone.

Every year, I am always looking forward to seeing more improvements. And I think the province has never disappointed me. Thinking about it today, I am so excited for next year's celebration surprises. πŸ₯°

Everything I’ve seen and read here is brilliant! Here in Venezuela, the mango is a real icon, we all say it saved us during our country's most critical moment, so I wonder why there isn't a festival to honor them πŸ˜… Hey, thanks for sharing these beautiful, impressive memories for #TBT. You're right; Hive is the perfect place to share these kinds of experiences through images. We really appreciate it here when writing and photography come together to create an experience for the reader. Great postβ€”sending you a sincere hug!...

so I wonder why there isn't a festival to honor them

I hope they'll come up with that idea soon.. 😊 coz based on what I see, the festival really helped boost our province's tourism and economy. It is also a great help for local farmers and entrepreneurs..

!LOL

Hmmm....I suddenly miss attending festivals.
Until now, I'm curious how Guimaras mangoes taste compared to others. Sana makatikim someday.

hehe, I think they're almost the same. Especially those from Cebu.. yong kaibahan lng kasi ng ibang variety eh, fibrous yong iba, yong buhok2 malapit sa seed, hehe.. ang guimaras mango kasi mas malaman, at di gaanong fibrous. pang export quality.
sana nga maka try, so you can personally judge it.

Wow, thanks for the info! I'm amazed and excited to try one someday. πŸ˜‡
