As the disciples of Jesus Christ, God gives us certain instructions to follow. We are called to obey the commandments of God. In the Bible we will see many commandments which God has instructed that we should obey. The church of God has been given doctrines which was received of the Lord Jesus Christ by the apostles. The doctrines tell us how we should behave ourselves among men in the society.
One of the commandments which God has given to us in the Bible is that we should do good to all men. We should show love unto all men. We should express the goodness of God unto all men. This is the commandment of God. The Bible says that when we do good unto people, they will glory our Father in heaven.
The light of God in our lives can only shine through the good works which we are doing. Preaching about what the Bible says without putting it into practice won't glorify God in our lives. People will praise God when they see our good works. They will know that we are the disciples of Jesus Christ.
