Holiness is something good and beautiful. Holy people are decent people. They are those who have developed good characters because of their obedience to the commandments of God. Anyone who obeys the doctrines of Jesus Christ will be holy. Holiness is to be obedient to the instructions of God. When we obey God, our lives and our attitudes are refined. We try to obey God because we are called unto holiness. We are separated for the pleasure of God.
1 Peter 1:15-16 (KJV) But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
The aroma of sin is not acceptable. We should not commit sin because we are the children of God. Sin will deint our hearts and make it unacceptable before God. Holy living should be the attribute of those who are the followers of Jesus Christ. Our Lord Jesus Christ taught us to be good and live in love. He told us to keep His commandments because when we keep His commandments God will love us and will come and dwell with us.
Unrighteousness is ugly. Sinful habits are offensive. Those who indulge in sinful lifestyles are not pleasing to the general public. We should refrain from sin and live holy. When we allow sin into our hearts, we can not have a beautiful life among people.
1 John 3:8 (KJV) He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
