Let every couple live together in love. We have loved ourselves before we decided that we are going to live together for the rest of our lives. It is a vow we should respect and honour. We should always respect this vow. Love is a bonding force in every marriage. Marriage should be handled with love and respect.
The Bible has rules and instructions for each partner in the union. Husbands are to love and respect their wives. They are to live with them in understanding. They should not be bullied or brutalized. The man should not behave as a beast. He should live with his wife as Christ loved the church.
The wives have been admonished to submit to their husbands in all things. A wife must be submissive. She must have the fear of God. She must revere her husband. She must love her husband. A wise woman built her own house. That is what the Bible says. It is the foolish woman who tear down her own house by her hands
Domestic violence has resulted from our intolerance of each other. It is because each of the partners has no respect for each other. We should avoid that. We should keep away violence from our homes. Let the love of God rule our hearts.
