Amigos de @hivecollectors quiero contarles que en nuestro reciente viaje a las Tunas, tuvimos la fortuna de conocer a Nieve Molina, una bibliotecaria apasionada que ha dedicado su vida a la promoción de la lectura y la educación en su comunidad. Ella generosamente nos invitó a su casa, con nosotros iba Rachel nuestra hija mayor que no pierde oportunidad de conversar sobre los libros que ha leido y todo lo que con ello ha aprendido.
Nieve decidió compartir con ella su colección personal de revistas Zunzún, una publicación que fue un pilar en la vida de muchos niños cubanos durante más de dos décadas.
Las revistas Zunzún, que comenzaron a circular en 1980, encuentro que son un legado cultural, un recuerdo necesario.
Nieve ha conservado meticulosamente más de 100 ejemplares, cada uno con su propio valor sentimental, esperando algún día poder compartirlos con sus nietos pero sus hijos emigraron a otro país en busca de mejores oportunidades, sus hijos aún no tienen hijos y cuando nazcan 90 millas de mar los separará.
Y ahí estaba Rachel, dulce y curiosa, admirando las portadas, las historias, y dulcemente conmovida al entender el sacrificio detrás de cada revista.
Rachel y Nieve establecieron un lazo muy bonito, espero que ella en cada página encuentre una parte del amor que Nieve siempre quiso compartir con sus nietos, pero que, gracias a Rachel, podrá continuar vivito y presente.
La colección está meticulosamente cuidada y catalogada, es un verdadero tesoro, marcadas con sus números correspondiente. Que le permitirá guardar un pedazo de la historia cubana.
