Native rice which is commonly called concoction rice originated from Nigerian and mostly prepared in villages as a good alternative to jollof, white or other rice variations. It is a delicious meal prepared with the simplest ingredients from nature, hence it's name; Native rice.
Join me as i show you how this simple but yet delicious meal is prepared.
INGREDIENTS
▪︎ 3 Cups of rice
▪︎ 3 fresh tomato
▪︎ 2 onions
▪︎ 5 fresh peppers
▪︎ half cup palm oil
▪︎ 4 cloves garlic
▪︎ half ginger
▪︎ salt
▪︎ curry
▪︎ tyme
▪︎ rosemary leaves
▪︎ scent leaves
▪︎ yagi spice
COOKING PROCEDURE
- Wash rice thoroughly until clear, soak with hot water and set aside
*Chop tomatoes, peppers, onions, ginger and garlic
*Heat pot, add palm oil, onions and chopped fresh tomatoes mix
*add in salt and spices and stir to combine
*when it is fried, add in soaked rice and hot water to kickstart the cooking process immediately
*cover and allow to cook for 20mins before adding vegetables
*allow to cook for 1 minute and food is ready
