Warm greetings fellow shadow hunters! π π π β¨ π€
For my slightly-late entry in Shadow Hunters Community Contest/Show Me a Shadow: Round 376, I'd like to share a shadowlicious batch of photos that I took yesterday afternoon, of the sublime play of sunlight and shadows on the lovely large leaves of a mamey sapote - Pouteria sapota, a tree from Central America that produces fruit which taste like a cross between pumpkin pie and sweet potato. It's leaves are often over a foot in length, and being so thin, they're the perfect stage for shadows to dance.
This tree is right on a trail, so when the sun is shining on it, I find myself talking photos of the sweet sun-and-shadow foliar display quite often. While the photos from above are beautiful, it's from below that the most exquisite shots can be captured. I love the contrast between the dark, symmetrical veins, the light-green color of the leaves, and of course those fantastic shadows, when they are backlit (or frontlit, as the case may be) by sunlight. I hope that y'all appreciate them as much as I did when I took them! π π π β¨ π€
πThis is my entry!π
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! πππβ¨π€
