Hello fellow #shadow #hunters, hope you are enjoying the springtime.
I went out yesterday to hunt shadows, it was a warm, sunny day, with blue skies and just a little breeze to keep the bugs away.
With my Cannon Power Shot SX530 HS slung over my neck I hopped on my quad and went for a spin.
Without leaving the #homestead, I cruised the property. Every tree I passed was leaving some awesome shadows. It's amazing how different the place looks now, with all the trees covered in leaves and blossoms, just a few short months ago everything was bare branches and bleak. Now our place is rich in color and cute shadows, like the ones on the little green cabin, as well as the one on the grass under a big tree.
This patch of land was cleared last summer by @thebigsweed, using his new tractor, gosh, boys sure do love their toys, don't they? 😁
After some tree stumps were dug out and pushed into the woods, we spread fresh topsoil and grass seed. I was so happy to see in early spring that the grass was starting to take hold. The #shadow from a large maple tree landed nicely on our new patch of grass.
This tree shadow is a small walnut tree in our lower plantation, the shadow looks a little fuzzy because the grass was newly mowed by yours truly. In the background, you'll notice the big guy playing with his tractor, AGAIN.
While I was still out riding, I stopped by my friend's house to say hello and spotted the hood of the chiminea. I thought it was pretty cool, the entire thing was in the shade, but as the breeze blew the leaves above the sunlight peeped through and formed some pretty cool images.
It was a nice afternoon with shadows everywhere.
