Greetings Hive worlds! It's me, Iris from East Java, Indonesia. As a working mom, trying to find some time to have a quality moments is honestly challenging. Especially since my works required me to travel daily to different cities. But, this month we had plenty of public holidays and of course I tried to take advantage of that as much as possible.
So I took my son for a date in this nearby cafe that had a lot of living animals, such as birds, bunnies, koi fishes, and even a female Crocodile named Popo! I have posted the animals photos on yesterday blog and today I want to share about our sweet moment together.
This is the first time we visited this cafe and I know that my son will like it because it hosted a lot of animals that he likes. As for me, I like the magical ambiance that made me feels like thrown into a whimsical garden. The entrance was covered by flowery vines where two ducks leisurely muncing their meals inside the cage.
We picked a table and I made order for our dinner. I ordered quite a bit of everything because my son just down with flu and didn't have much appetite yet. I hope a change of scenery and outdoor activities will help him eat a lot. Then we explored the garden together. It was really well put together. A beautiful koi pond in the middle that surrounded by trees and fern, fallen tree barks and fat green grasses. We enjoyed looking at the peaceful koi fishes for a while before continue looking around.
Then there were bunnies! My son was so into cartoon called Bing nowadays, so he was very curious about bunnies. One of the also had a dark grey fur and he was busy chasing them while called him Bing! Of course those bunnies were afraid of him. We ended up enjoyed sitting at a swing while he watched the bunny from a distance. The cafe also have few birds roaming around freely but I couldn't really take photos of them because my boy keep chasing them as well lol.
Then our meal arrived. First was the french fries which was my son favorite. I am so glad that he enjoyed it alot. He almost finished the whole portion. Not long after, the main course arrived as well. Yes, it might seem too much for two person but I didn't know which one he would like, so I figured we can always had the leftover taken away if needed. He liked the prawn and the grilles tuna. I was so glad that his appetite was okay after running around chasing the animals.
I eat what he couldn't finish as usual and the food was really delicious actually. However, the most important things was the time we shared together. Just few months ago I couldn't took him for a date like this because he will require extra eyes to watch over, such to prevent him not plunging to the pond or run away to the street. My baby had grown into a pleasant little date companion. I was so touched and a little bit mellow to think about that.
And of course Popo! The female crocodiles. She was quite big and of course my boy was so excited until he climbed up the wall of her captivity. He just had no fear. We spend the rest of the time chatting together about the animals and what he liked about this place. It was such a memory that will warm my heart. Just hope that we have an opportunity like this a lot.
Thank you for stopping by and reading our story. I hope you can find quality times to enjoy with your loved ones. See you around, Hivers!
