Yesterday I decided to start the year by pampering myself as part of my pre-birthday celebrations. I began by treating my feet with exfoliating socks infused with Vitamin C, a Christmas gift that left them feeling refreshed and soft. Now, more pampering for my hands and feet is on the way.
Then I went to make an appointment with my hairdresser to find out when I can get my hair treatment, color, and cut, which is long overdue. I took the opportunity to snap some photos of the therapeutic quotes she has written on the walls of her salon.
Whenever I go and have to wait a while, I like to read them and reflect on them. I love the atmosphere of her beauty studio; it has a coffee corner with a coffee maker, several cups, some decorative items, and a small table with stools for those who want to take photos or simply enjoy a coffee.
I love her Christmas decorations, which she still has; they're beautiful. When I went at Christmas, I only took a picture of their little tree because, you know, I'm a big fan of Christmas trees.
Some of the phrases say:
"Think, believe, dream, and dare."
"Women's Law: It's better to arrive late than to arrive looking bad."
This last one made me laugh a lot because it's quite common for us to spend a little time getting ready and that's why we're not on time for many appointments.
But the first one says so much about our decisions and the courage to make them, to put aside our fears and move forward with so many life projects that are often put on hold.
It's relaxing to arrive at a place where you can relax physically, but also mentally and emotionally, and that's where you find it. It's much more than just the typical place where people talk about personal things or gossip, hahaha.

Ayer decidí iniciar el año consintiéndome como parte de mi pre-cumpleaños, y comencé por hacerme un tratamiento para mis piecitos con unas medias exfoliantes con Vitamina C que me regalaron en navidad, y que los dejaron fresquecitos, y suaves. Ahora vienen más consentimientos para manos y pies.
Luego fui a sacar cita con mi peluquera para saber cuándo puedo ir a hacerme cirugía, tinte y corte de cabello, que ya me toca, y aproveché para tomar unas fotos de sus frases terapéuticas que tiene plasmadas en las paredes del lugar.
Siempre que voy y debo esperar un rato, me gusta leerlas y reflexionar en éstas. Me encanta el ambiente de su atelier de belleza, tiene un rincón para el café, donde reposa una cafetera, varias tacitas, algunos adornos, y una mesita con sus bancos para quienes desean tomarse fotos, o simplemente, tomar un café.
Amo su decoración navideña que aún conserva, es hermosa. Cuando fui en navidad sólo tomé foto de su arbolito porque ya saben, yo soy fan de los arbolitos navideños.
Algunas de las frases dicen:
-“Piensa, cree, sueña y atrévete”.
-“Ley femenina: Es mejor llegar tarde, que llegar fea”.
Esta última me hizo reír mucho porque es bastante común que nos llevemos un tiempito arreglándonos y por eso no lleguemos puntual a muchas citas.
Pero la primera dice tanto de nuestras decisiones, y la valentía para tomarlas, echar a un lado los miedos y seguir adelante con tantos proyectos de vida muchas veces pausados.
Es relajante llegar a un lugar donde te puedas relajar físicamente, pero también mental y emocionalmente, y allí se logra. Mucho más allá de ser el típico lugar en donde se habla de cosas personales, o se echan cuentos ajenos, jajajaja.
