I spend quite sometimes to follow this single beetle running around alone, and then finally could mate in the middle of the day.
This is also the first time I saw this type of beetle mating, which I should have take the videos instead, but I am not a good videographer, and despite I have the videotaping ability in my camera, I hardly use it. haha
Look at the face of this beetle, do you find it scary or beautiful? For me it is kind of mixed one, because it certainly has some beautify, but also it look a little bit scary. haha
I found it facing my at first, before it turn around.
It only gave me its back to photgraph for quite sometimes.
And then boom, I found it mating with bigger female already. Such a fast move.
I believe this guy has some of the coolest and smoothest way to make the famale fall in love in an instance.
Can you see the size difference between the male and the female one? I also find that their color is a little bit different, with the female look a little bit darker.
