The Red Convertible | LMAC FreeStyle Collage No. 143

LMAC-FreeStyle-No143-TheRedConvertible.jpg

Hello LMAC and Hive members. I wanted to share with you my current freestyle collage. I envisioned the red car as the focal point of my design. A young woman would be the object of its desire.

My style of collage is a Freestyle. Although I usually do, I wasn't required to utilize any contest photo in my design. However, if you'd like to join in the current contest, visit: Let's Make a Collage - A Contest for All Creatives on Hive - Round 242 - ✨92 HIVE in the Prize Pool!.

Over the years, Yozeldu could deny her favorite niece nothing. Headstrong as well as beautiful, she watched with a heavy heart as Margot mastered the art of manipulation as well as the keys on the piano.

The Red Convertible. At seventeen, her latest admirer sought to impress her with a borrowed family vehicle. One ride sold Margot on the idea that owning one would vanquish the shadows of her childhood. The particular vehicle itself cast a cloud on its owner's family.

Margot cared not for superstitious hogwash. Determined to tame the inner beast thought to possess the car, she sought out her dutiful aunt. She didn't desire any red car, but vowed to own the one that captured her soul.

Margot begged and pleaded for weeks until Yozeldu relented.

Yodeldu's hopes that one day her niece would join her in practicing the family craft diminished each day. The crystal ball she consulted predicted a different path for Margot.

A path that Yodeldu prayed wouldn't come to pass.

"I'll sacrifice my own life if you allow her to live," she promised the coven's leader.

"No! You broke our rules and influenced that family to sell the vehicle to her. It's no one's fault but your own," cried the group in a harmonious shrill voice.

Yodeldu covered the crystal ball and refused to see. The day had arrived.

The red convertible's gearbox whined in dread parrot mimicking its previous owner's warnings. Black wheels shining, it maneuvered from side to side, daring others on the road to approach.

The gargoyle watched with a gleeful countenance as Margot entered the tunnel to oblivion.

In preparing my theme, located an appropriate female dressed in red to complement the vehicle. I added an eerie scene at night that suggests events that take place are not in the ordinary. Unnatural characters round out the scene.

I utilized Canva to blend the different type images. Below are my steps in which I began with a blank, white canvas, then added layers of elements, removing backgrounds, resizing, detaching elements from their backgrounds, duplicating, colorizing, and repositioning items as needed incorporating the tools at my disposal in my Annual Pro Membership Subscription.
