Hello, happy weekend to all. For some days now, we have been enduring the strong heat wave, and in this area this high thermal sensation that almost reaches 40º, is complemented by the power outages at the hour of highest temperatures, the lack of water in the area, and to top it off, the forest fires that were reactivated again in the forests of Uverito, on the road that connects the state of Monagas with this eastern area.
But exactly a couple of days ago, with the stress that this panorama caused me, I did not want to go to El Tigre to train, I decided to stay at home, and a few hours later my training partners published some photos that I wanted to share with you. I was really impressed by the images, and then on Tigre Ciudad's Instagram, a local account that we all follow for sharing what happens in our town, they also posted some pictures.
These images are courtesy of my training partners, and Tigre Ciudad's Instagram, and in them you can see the size and color of the sun during that day, it was bright red sometimes, and other times, incandescent yellow and red all around. That happened during Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Yesterday, the color of the sun went down, but the sky was still reddish all around.
From the comments of users, and what I read on the web, this natural phenomenon is due to the presence of strong forest fires in the area, and the saturation of smoke in the environment. When the afternoon begins to fall, the sun's rays pass through the huge concentrations of smoke, creating this optical effect where the smoke particles scatter the light, and the blue and violet waves are completely dispersed, causing the phenomenon known as Rayleigh scattering. First time I see something like this, at least in my city. Even last year, when the fires were also activated in the same forest, this phenomenon was never manifested, we only had the presence of a dense haze due to the accumulated smoke. Some say that nature is already beginning to collapse after so many ravages. It is not a lie that the Bosques de Uverito have gone through innumerable fires in the last years, and the environment has not been able to purify itself from the effects of the previous one, when another one is already reactivating.
Yesterday, the atmosphere was already a little more relieved, we could breathe better, although the smell of smoke remains a little, and the heat, for some reason, also gave way to a very pleasant breeze, which I suppose, was expelling the smoke farther away
I say goodbye until a next adventure in contact with nature, thank you very much for visiting my blog. Happy day to you.
