Greeting My Fellow dCity Major.
It's been a while since my last update, it's more than 3 weeks ago. Currently my dCity feels like being in a steady state, where everything smooths and nothing change either for good or bad.
See.. This is my dCity map. Everything are good, it feels like nothing needs to be change. It is not like I haven't done anything, I have bought some NFT before without updating here. Those buys were not something that big or game changer, but all were simple purchases of a few NFT just to keep my dCity at optimal condition like this.
However thing has changed when I read this on Discord:
Well I knew already that what Mr Eco said there was not something that has fixed yet, so it could be considered as trusted rumor LoL. However it has sparked some thought in my head about anticipating it before the day is announced.
Currently my dCity is still focused on Income Ranking, so the Education and Creativity are not something that can be considered as decent. It becomes something that can be said as lacking.
So I have decided that today I will prepare my dCity to pump our Education level up. There is no guarantee how Education will decide or influence in the new tech mining system. But it is not a lose to try it earlier this time.

To pump the Education point, we can buy these 3 NFTs. I do not wish to buy citizen NFT, so I have ruled them out here. School is the cheapest but I can't see how it will help me improving the Education because it demands more workers. I make that ratio, Education/Worker, so I know well how many population to make those new building NFTs working.
So the options are only on Research Center and University. Stats wise, University is the best, however price wise says differently. I am confused which one I should focus here, budget friendly Research Center, or maybe try to go a bit maxi with University.
So I decided to buy each of them in a unit. I need to figure out first how this thing will cost me later, before I go buying frenzy and then end up realizing I just buying the wrong NFTs lol.
So here was the map of my dCity after I got those two educational building. From having unemployed population, suddenly I had some people to hire in order to kill the red color in population and the orange color in NFT... They showed me that 4 building NFTs were not working.
So I bought 6 Basic Houses here, they should give me 24 population, enough to cover up 23 needed worker there. Let see how it ended at this point:
My dCity came back at the normal condition, the ideal steady state look alike again. So what do we learn here?
EDUCATION NEEDS MASSIVE POPULATION
yes, from my trial there, I can say that for sure. It is easy to buy schools and research center, however you will end up having many NFTs not working because lack of population.
From the ratio of Education/Worker, which is range from 0.41 to 0.71, we can pick a number as median or as average number in 0.55, same as the Research Center Education/Worker Ratio. It means that for every 55 Education I could get, I will need 100 idle population.
I want to push my Education to 320 point, because I think that's the safe number I need to reach if I want some extra bonus for being in top 400 Education rank.
With 320 Education, I could reach rank 359 which is a safe bet. I do not like being on 385-400 rank, it's an unsafe number that we could easily got shoved out by a few point only.
So I need additional 218 Education point. With the Education/Worker ratio of 0,55, my dCity will need 397 population to run those Educational NFT buildings. With my current population bonus, I could set 240 new population as the required additional population to support them, or we can say 60 Basic Houses.
Well, honestly, I do not have the resource to get those 60 Basic Houses, or 12 Apartments LoL. That's the challenge I have now, not about buying the Research Center NFT buildings, those are needed but I need to think about those extra population that are needed to run the buildings.
Should I try to buy them one by one every few days? Or just wait for a one big push? Well we will see it later...
Where I Am Now
I track my progress regularly and benchmark it with my friends' dCity accounts, who are @ramadhanight and @arveno. Sometime I monitor other players too such as @vaynard86 , but not in specific way regarding he is more casual and laidback than us.
So currently my direct head to head is against the Indonesian Whale Mr @arveno here. Anyway I take this is a fun competitive race, not something that hard and serious competitive here.

The main goal is still the Income Rank, I sit on 161 and Arveno is on 110. However the value gap is very big, about 328 $SIM. I do not think I could catch up using organic growth here, a quick push of buying tonnes of Students is the most reasonable approach... However I am not in hurry, so I still do the organic way.
Next week I won't push Income. I stick to my detour, which is pushing my Education level. To achieve that, I will need some hive to buy houses NFT, to get massive population into my dCity.
