Howdy Guys
Another week, another Splinterlands journey. Welcome to my Splinterlands posts, I regularly write posts about Splinterlands because I like playing this game. Splinterlands is a great TCG web 3 game, debatable as one of the best one.
Today I have started focusing my rewards cards for the RARE rarity. I see my rare rewards collection is not good. The rewards cards I talk here is the Rebellion Reward cards, which currently we can purchase using GLINT points.
These are the selection of rewards cards available based on the RARE rarity. I do not have a gold foil Drybone Megalodon, that's why I have 11 cards out of 12 cards. There are many reasons why my Rare cards selection is not good, of course the most sensible answer is a bad luck LoL.
Another good reason is the pricing. The gap between a gold foil Common and Gold Foil Rare are big, so it is a lot easier to pump up Gold Foil Commons. Except if we aim all cards to be at max level, the difficulty will be almost similar.
I am a casual player who do not seek max level cards. I am level 4 to level 6 only for rare rarity cards. In this zone, the gap between Commons and Rares is quite big. However this should not be an excuse for me to skip grinding the Rare Cards...
So Today I have decided to get 7 more Rare Gold Foil Cards... This is my hash:

Finally I get that Drybone Megalodon, So this card will complete my Rare cards collection, although the levels are still low. In general I can not say whether this cards purchase is a good one or not, it is hard to judge something base on 7 cards only.
This will be my biggest homework for the next season. I will need to buy a lot more, maybe 10-12 Gold Foil Rares. I want to get 20 cards per seasons, as the batch limits at that number, but I know my limit, it is imposible for me to get 300.000 Glints every season.
It is possible for others, very competitive players, but not for me..
These are the selection in my inventory, still look bad because some of them are 1 BCX only, shown by having level 2. Atleast today I can upgrade a card, so I can say the cards purchase is not useless one.
I level up my Skyspire Leopard. Now this cat has a void armor ability, which I think this is a very great one. This card is not a special one, but with a void armor ability, it will help him a lot withstand magic attacks. At least he won't die with 2 magic attacks, which I often see him dies that way.
Maybe I will share my battle using this Skyspire Leopard and his new ability Void Armor in my next post, of course if I get a good battle with it.
The Targets
Having all in high level is the target, but let's be realistic again here. The resource (GLINTS) is very limited, I do not think I should spend all GLINT in this rare rarity cards. Soon the Conclave Arcana rewards cards edition will be released. The best way is to limit my purchase, aimed until these target are achieved.
I need a level 4 Drybone Megalodon. At least at this level he has that retaliate ability, which I believe will be a great ability for him because he will hit back any melee attacker coming at him.
With his 4 melee damage, a retaliate attack is dangerous. And even he gets killed by a melee attack, there is still a chance there will be a retaliate attack too.
The second target is Quilliun Legionary. I have to have him at level 4, because at that level he will get a void ability. It means all incoming magic damage will be reduced by 1 damage.
Quilliun Legionary is not a great tank but he is a good one. With this void ability, it also means he is good against melee and magic attacks, so range attack will be his only weakness.
I like to set him as backline wall, and with some recent units who use magic attacks with a sneak ability, void ability will play great part to hold those attacks too.
The last one is this mushroom lady, Dark Arborist. I want to have her at level 4 due to 2 reasons. At level 3 she has a magic reflect ability, this is very crucial because she will be very useful during magic attacks only ruleset (wands out if I am not mistaken).
Initially I thought level 3 Dark Arborist was enough, but recently I met some opponent with void abilities, so having 1 magic damage nowadays is a big no. Most likely it will end up hitting 0 damage. So 2 magic damage is quite essential.
