Hi all, it's been a while since I posted in the community and I am glad to be able to share some content based on the prompt for this weekend.
The prompt that I will be sharing on today will be on 2 things that I am brilliant on. And incidentally, these are from my 2 hobbies of which one is making me money through my business and the other had been something that I had been doing ever since I was a young boy.
So let's begin today's sharing.
Number One - Keeping Guppies
I have been fascinated by the myriad of colours and variations that guppies have ever since I was young and being brought to a fish shop by my cousin. They come in many colours, tail type and even body patterns. And the most amazing thing about keeping guppies is that you can really "refine" the fish and improve various attributes for the fish to make them be able to compete in local or overseas competitions through carefully breeding with the fishes that carry better traits.
Guppies can start breeding as soon as they reach approximately 3 months old and a breeding pair will give approximately 15-30 offsprings per batch. Typically, we will raise them up and carefully select the next generation breeding pairs to continue the lineage and at the same time improve their attributes such as tail size, dorsal fine size or even the patterns of the fish.
People often tell me, it is just fish keeping but to me, it is more than that. It is a journey of improving and refining, understanding your fish gene pool and also how to maintain the lineage through outcrossing of the fish to prevent genetic defects from appearing from excessive inbreeding. Loads of valuable lesson have been learnt through interacting with other hobbyist locally and overseas. Keeping guppies and wanting to improve them is not just a big tank and dump everything in, proper management is required to prevent breeding the wrong fish or ensuring we know which fish carry what genes.
I've been part of the local guppy club and at one point, I was the club treasurer and actively involved in the organising of local competition and facilitate local entries to be send overseas to compete in overseas competition to showcase our fishes at the global stage.
Here are some photos which I've taken back then when I was actively part of the club in those events.
While I no longer serve in the club, I am still actively keeping my guppies and also visiting Taiwan or Thailand regularly to search for nice guppies to cross breed with my existing fishes to improve them. And this is why I consider that I am brilliant in guppy keeping.
Number Two - Photography
Another hobby of mine that I consider brilliant is photography. From someone whom got his hands on a basic DSLR, I have progressed quite a fair bit in terms of my photography. From taking pictures like the cover photo to covering various events, weddings and all and getting paid for my services, I am certain that I've some brilliance in the photography work I do.
Not only that, I have continuously worked on my photography business, from operating photo booths and also recently acquired and setup my new 360 video booth all through the early stages of developing photography and getting to where I am today. I do have some travel post earlier in the year which I shared on beautiful places that I visited and documented them with beautiful pictures taken from my trusty camera.
Here are some of my photography business development and some of my favourite photos:

Wrap Up
I am glad to have things that I am brilliant in doing and also glad that I also get opportunities to hone my skills and become better at each of the things that I do good. Thank you for dropping by and hope to see some of your posts on things you are good at.
Have a great weekend everyone!
