Attending The Saturday Mass at a Wrong Time and Our Quick Photo Session Outside the Church

Mommy F was so eager to go to the church last Saturday, she prepared as early as 3 pm, from taking a bath to changing her Pangmalakasang Outfit. Lol. She's really early or more like super excited. We don't attend the church that often. We can visit if Mom's legs are okay and not in pain, but we rarely attend. Whenever we can visit the church, Mom is always grateful because she was able to attend the mass. With her legs acting up oftentimes nowadays, she's just really grateful and happy that she can do it. But of course with my help too. As I've said before, I'm her human cane (≧▽≦).

Anyways, our church, where we attend, has Saturday Mass at 6pm. While on Sunday, it has 3 masses in the morning at different times starting from 5am. We always attend the Saturday mass because of the time, at least we have a lot of time to prepare, and we won't cram too.

So that day, I noticed one thing while we were preparing. The bell didn't ring, it's like a reminder for a mass in that particular time. They should ring at 5 pm but we didn't hear anything. And because the church is close to our home, just a few step away, we can hear it clearly and it's a sign for us to prepare. But that very day, it didn't ring. So I told Mom about it. It's already 5pm, but they're not ringing it, which is really unusual.

But Mom didn't give much thought to it, so we pushed through with the plan. Mom is the kind that when she plans something, no one can stop her. I already suspected that maybe there was no mass on that particular day because of the 9-day novena that happened before that day. It's really just a hunch, I am just merely thinking of the possibility. When we arrived at the church, we saw people busy cleaning outside. My hunch is correct.

We asked one of the kids we saw outside, and yep, no mass for that day. The oldies were very sad, but Mommy F still got inside the church. She kneel inside and utter a short prayer. As for me, well, I'm just waiting for her. Mommy D did the same, but she did it outside. We saw few people attending that had no idea that there's no scheduled mass that day. Yep, it's not just us.

After spending a minute inside, the oldies decided to have a quick photo session. Of course, me as the photographer, lol. Mom volunteered to take a photo of me, but I declined. I don't really like to take my own photos. I am already happy taking some for thm.. UwU

I also take some photos of the surroundings. You can see that the kids in the background are really busy.

Here's more of a photo of Mommy F smiling so widely. She really looks so happy when she's smiling like this. Mom rarely smiled, to be honest, especially in the past. Some of my classmates even told me how scary Mom is because when she glare, she has this serious face. But she's really scary, though, especially when she's mad. She just changed and showed more emotions often as she aged. And she's a crybaby now too, always crying when she hears some sad news o even if she just talks to someone she hasn't seen for a long time. She doesn't really cry, as far as I remember. I often see her as a cold person. But now, wahh, she looks freer, she looks happier ( ◜‿◝ )♡.

After our quick photo session, we then go on our way to our home. It's a peaceful kind of walk. We are also talking while walking, slowly, just like we're having an afternoon walk in our backyard.
