That about sums it up. It is the main advantage the US has. When people talk about the demise, they focus upon the US. That will be later down the line.

Sadly, i was expecting a .50% or even a 0.75% cut! I think the fed wants to control a little more the hype around markets at the moment..only my opinion of course :)

It's really interesting how the US Fed's rate cuts affect other countries. The Philippine stock market was anticipating the rate cut and has been going up. We were hoping for 0.5 but this is still fine.
