It's time for another Leo Power Up Day and you can stake some LEO to get a chance at some nice LEO delegations. I did get a delegation from the previous month's LPUd.
LEO Power UP Day
I participate in Hive Power Up Day each month and I am quite happy to see an LEO Power Up Day continue this month. At the start of the year, I made my 2024 yearly goals and that was increase my LEO Power to 11k. In order to reach this, I need to stake on average 275 LEO a month and I prefer to stake all of it during LPUD back at the start of the year. Before the power-up today, I need 237.5 LEO per month to reach my goal.
The requirements for participating to get rewards are below. I am currently at 9,575 LEO staked so I qualify for this. Even if you don't qualify this time around, I think it's still a nice thing to participate in because there are some unofficial prizes. There is a post from last month's winner post here and I can confirm that the conditions are the same as before. It just looks like they didn't make a separate post to announce LPUD. Just make sure to use the #LPUD tag.
- Your total Leo Power (on the 15th) must be less than 25k.
- You must power up at least 150 Leo on April 15.
- You must not have powered down Leo in the last month
- Make a post Leo Finance about LPUD (A Thread is not enough).
One thing to note is that they have made some changes and anyone who powers up at least 50 LEO can get a chance at the smaller delegations. Check the post linked above to see what is available. This means that people can get a chance at earning a delegation even if they don't have the 150 LEO because the LEO price has gone up quite a bit since LPUD started. There will also be a free premium for 10 users who power up at least 150 LEO. Unfortunately, I didn't win a premium or a delegation last month.
As a bonus, there is also an LPUD badge on Hivebuzz. I am glad that hivebuzz is alive and running. It's nice to see the badge and I have yet to miss a month in the year so far.
LEO Power Up
I decided to power up 275 LEO this month because it is above what I need for this month. As long as it is over 150 LEO, I think it's fine but powering up slightly more than I need will work out better for me in the long run. I still have some buffer in case I do get some LEO powered up from ads but I don't think that will be coming back anytime soon. Either way, I have enough LEO to reach my goals for the year so I am just slowly powering up what I need for my yearly goal.
Conclusion
If you haven't done so, you might want to consider doing an LEO power-up and you can win an extra prize (LEO Power delegation). The LEO community is quite big, and I think staking more LEO is great for the entire network. The LEO power-up badge is also a nice plus to what we get from normally powering up to reach my goals.
