Splinterlands is an online collectible card game using the blockchain technology. Every user will need cards to play the game, these cards or assets are NFTs (Non-Fungible Token) which can be traded. These cards is used to play against other players. Now every card will have the unique ability and they are divided between Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. The more the ability, the more it can help you to win the games and the more expensive it becomes.
The Splinterlands team has launched one more format after Wild and Modern and it is Known as Survival Mode. Just like the Wild and Modern, the Survival Mode is a ranked play format. From the last 3 seasons I am playing the Survival Mode. And to be honest I am loving it. In this format we can play with all the cards just like the Wild Format and this I am playing with my older cards along with the Modern format and thus I have to manage my card well so that nor all the cards get deleted. So people who have old alpha or beta cards can use this opportunity to play with their card. Now with the Wild card we used to pay a fee whereas with the Survival Mode there is no fee as such.
The catch is if any card dies in the battle you cannot use that card in any other format. The card will get revived after certain period but till that time you cannot use that card in any format. As you can see I have around 328 cards available to play and my 21 cards are deleted which will be revived after certaij period of time.
The Survival Mode is simply how well we can manage our cards and thats the fund in playing the survival card. Now the more good cards we have the more chances of winning in the Survival mode. And also the same card you have multiple times is better because then you can play with those cards again and again. And that's why I am not combining some of my good cards so that I can play with those cards multiple times. But again the nax card you have the cool down will be less.
This is the cooldown for the cards if they die in the Survival mode.
So as I said I am loving the Survival mode even if some of my cards are getting sacrificed in the process. It can be revived after certain days and till that time it's all about managing your cards well. And that's why I am actually playing in both the Modern and Survival Mode, and trying to get the rewards from both ends. And if all my cards dies then have to wait till the revival. Just like how we have to wait till energy refill. So do you also play the Survival Mode along with the Wild or modern?
