AI can do a lot of repeated tasks in seconds and thus you don't need people to do it. And that's why we will see a lot of jobs are at stake just because of the AI. For example, previously people used to hire freelancers for building websites, now it is just matter of minutes where you can generate your own website without doing much work, just because of the AI.

And that's why we are seeing a lot for layoffs are happening. People have started using AI in their job and in future less people are needed to do the job and thus people who are not needed are laid off. As per reports 150K people have laid off from the IT job and we are not sure how many more people might have laid off. I know AI is not the only to blame there might be other factors too, but still the impact of the AI is real.
We had a person in our job who used to handle the TimeSheet website. Whenever their was a problem we used to approach him. Now we have a AI tool which handles all this task and there is no person required. So just like that AI has replaced a job and this is one instance, think about how many jobs it can impact.
But AI is not only a problem. If you can take advantage it can be a great tool too. We used to write regex expressions which used to take days to test and then use them. But now, it is matter of minutes where we can just ask AI as per of our requirements and AI just give us the regex as per our requirements. So this helps us to save a lot of time which can be used in more productive tasks. So AI is helpful, it is just that we have to use it for our advantage.
