Purity of the breed, or a stone in the sand.
While leafing through my photo archive, I saw some photos of the beautiful Admiral butterfly and a funny thought came to me about an old and very funny operetta called Silva.
If you haven't seen this operetta in the theater, or its film adaptation, then the story is about a young officer named Edwin from a very noble family who fell in love with a variety dancer named Silva, but it was difficult for him to propose to her because his parents, who belonged to an ancient and very noble family, would be against this marriage.
And so it was, the theme of purity of the family, or breed, was revealed in great detail, for example, Edwin's father, Prince Leopold Volapuk, showed everyone the bumps and lumps on his skull that he inherited from his noble ancestors.
The story ended well, but the prince had to learn that his wife Cecilia was not from a noble family at all, but in her youth was a variety show dancer named =- Fi-fi Moth.
For him it was a shock.
But, you know what's interesting, I've never heard of crossing different species of butterflies and moths, they always maintain the purity of the blood, without special human supervision.
Yes, there are still many wild species of animals that remain pure blood without any race or effort, and where a person tries to fix something, everything goes awry.
Dog owners know how difficult it is sometimes to preserve a dog breed, and if you decide to let your dog out for a walk, then you need to keep an eye on it and protect it from other dogs, but this does not always help, and dogs give birth to dogs, just dogs without signs of the breed.
About forty-five years ago, we were offered to buy a dachshund puppy, yes, we bought it, but then we found out that LN was the only dachshund in the litter, and all his brothers and mother were pinschers lol.
