Jonjoli or Staphýlea
Some time ago, while studying some information about gardening, I came across a video about a Georgian delicacy made from pickled flowers called Jonjoli, which appear on the plant of the same name or Staphýlea.
Interestingly, I have previously seen someone growing this plant on their land in Moldova.
And the plant is interesting, everything is edible, stems, leaves, flowers and nuts.
They say that the leaves taste like cress salad, and pickled flowers are an excellent appetizer for meat dishes.
I looked, sighed and wanted to forget about it lol, because I doubt that this plant will take root in the climate of Moldova and I will hardly find planting material for this plant ... but stop!
I remembered that, walking through an abandoned, forgotten by people arboretum, I found a plant that was unfamiliar to me and this made me dig into my photo archive.
Eureka, there, in the thick of the forest, I found a small tree, or a tall bush in the fruits of which were Jonjoli nuts and the fruits, boxes, were exactly like that.
Then I laughed at the fact that these nuts appeared as if from the fairy tale "Three nuts for Cinderella".
Returning there, I will definitely find planting material, these could be nuts that can be sprouted, or a cutting from a branch, of which there are a great many.
Below you can see my containers with data that I collect in INLEO and always have quick access to them it is very convenient.
Material thoughts about beekeeping №1
When I visited dense forests, I did not see ideal conditions for bees there, but many beekeepers harvest beekeeping products in such places.
