When it comes to business, keeping the customers happy is one of the most important things. It can be a constant journey because it will never end. As long as we are in business, we have to be careful about customer satisfaction and keeping them happy with our products or services. That's how the trust is created and the brand value is created. If we can maintain the same quality of service, customers will become happy and the biggest challenge would be to keep them that way.
Sometimes the mistake may not even be on the side of the company. It could even be a third-party issue but the Entrepreneurs will have to acknowledge the bad experience of the customers and take ownership and solve the issue for them. Despite doing all these things, at times there can be instances where the customers will still end up being unhappy. We cannot do much but we have to ensure such things don't happen once again.

Exceeding customer expectation
Any customer will usually have some expectation. Whatever product we purchase from the market or whatever product we use, we usually expect it to do the bare minimum job for us. That's how the customers evaluate the product. If the product does what it is supposed to do, then the customer is satisfied but at times if the customer is expecting some features but the product can do a lot more thing, then it becomes an additional appreciation and they become a happy customer now where we have exceeded their expectation.
Sometimes customers may not even have expectations. In those instances, we have to set their expectation and then gradually make sure the expectation is met or it can be exceed too.
Today's customers are already aware
Compared to the old days, customers did not have any great exposure back then. They used to rely on whatever option they got. But today because we have all the technological advancement it can be hard to exceed expectations because many customers are already coming to us with huge expectations. Unlike olden days we have to take it up as a challenge to make these customers happy too.

Today's customers are fully aware because all the products and services are already available online or there will at least be someone who writes a detailed review for us. If we are unable to deliver a requirement, they easily choose another vendor and walk away. Only when there is no alternative option available, do people stick to the current product or service.
Special perks to keep them happy
Some companies take it up as a task to keep the customer happy all the time. Most of the time they give some gifts to keep their customers happy. Some services can also be offered to the customers to keep them happy. The services can either be free or for a subsidized price. This will promote happy customers and the biggest advantage we get with happy customers is that they also become our promoters and they will keep talking about our project to other companies and we might get a lot more leads too.
