Growing Pomegranate is a profitable business

in LeoFinance21 hours ago (edited)

If you have enough farm land and not sure what to grow, growing pomegranate can be a great fortune if done right. There have been studies explaining the health benefits of Pomegranate, and at the same time, the fruit is very popular all over the world, creating a huge demand. India is the biggest exporter of Pomegranate, and there are also historical references where pomegranate was served in royal feasts and weddings. No wonder that this fruit is very popular because it is highly nutritious and it is capable of providing a lot of health benefits.

I have read articles where people even quit their high-paying IT jobs to continue doing farming. At least this is happening in recent years, where people find farming to be better and peaceful than IT jobs. If more time is spent and if the farm owners also focus on doing export based on the quality they produce, the yield can be very good. Today, the price of Pomegranate in the market is very high, and imagine the cost it would give if high quality is exported.

Regular maintenance of the trees

Having a pomegranate farm is not a big deal, if we don't take care of the trees properly, it can become diseased and affect the yield to a greater extent. Many people in India, even though they have a pomegranate farm, they miss the opportunity of earning a decent revenue by not taking care of the trees well. Sometimes, the youngest members of the family might be working in an IT company, and the parents would be too old to take care of the farmland. In such cases, the yields get affected to a greater extent.

Regular maintenance involves so many things, and for that, someone should dedicate time to the farmland. Maintenance involves taking care of the water supply, uprooting the old trees, and planting the right breed of new saplings. Spacing between the trees is important, and a proper drip irrigation system is also important to increase the yield. To take care of the farm land, it might need an initial investment or a yearly investment, but the returns will be amazin,g providing a great yield and profit. So maintenance plays a very important role when it comes to farming.

Many IT people are either having farming as their side hustle, or they quit their jobs to go back to farming. The knowledge they gain from the IT industry or through technology is fully applied, and the results are amazing.

Farming is very lucrative especially when it is one on a large scale
My dad is a farmer and a factory worker but he’s about to quit factory job to focus fully on farming

Wow that's so strange! Here basically no one does farm them, from the farmer they are very cheap, only 2€ per kilos, you can bring at home many for little... So people just farm grain, corn or vegetables

I think I am actually hearing about this business for the first time actually. It will be worth to check this business out

Farming generally is very tedious but it's also a lucrative business, one just needs to dedicate their time and energy into and they will be happy with their outcome 😃

in argentina its common see this fruit everywhere also we make drinks :D
