I have been powering up Hive on the first of every month on the occasion of Hive Power Up day. This is a day where people from Hive community share their commitment to Hive by powering up Hive. I have been participating in this for several years and I make sure I have powered up almost every HPUD. I also keep a track of how much I had been powering up.
Today I'm very happy and glad to share that I have reached 150k Hive power which had been my goal for this year. I'm glad that I was able to reach this goal before the end of the year. My consistant Hive power up had helped and in the mean time the price of Hive was also a contributing factor. When the price of Hive is low, we would be earning more Hive from the rewards.
Above chart shows how much I had powered up in the last few years and the value that I'm powering up is consistantly increasing every year or at least is contributing to the increase of my account value. We all believe in Hive and we still think that we are in the early stages of crypto adoption and in the crypto revolution. There are many new blockchains emerging in this crypto world but some of the old blockchains like Hive is definitely leading the way. The good thing about Hive is that it has been stable for several years and many people come and go and some people have been here for several years building continuously on Hive.
We still have not had the mass adoption that we are expecting Hive to have. But I'm happy with what is happening here and slow and gradual increase itself is good for the ecosystem and I'm very glad that we are part of this ecosystem.
My next goal
Setting a goal is very good because with that we will be having a target to achive. Some people do a power up then and there and keep increasing their Hive. But I accumulate Hive and power it up on the first of every month just to participate in Hive Power Up day. Most of the Hive that I power up also comes from my secondary account and everything gets accumulated on my primary account.
My next goal is to reach 175k Hive power before the end of this year. I believe it is achivable. I have been consistantly powering up about 2k Hive every month and along with that the author rewards and curation rewards add up. There is still 3 more months to go so at least I should be able to reach 160k Hive power but if I push it a little hard, it might even be possible to reach 175k who knows. Let's wait and see.
