Welcome my dear tourists, internet travelers and thank you very much for making a temporary stop in my post, the other day I wanted to see a film but I didn"t want to choose it, just to see something without any kind of expectation about it, that"s why I went to the screenshots that I have saved and that was when "The Tourist" appeared, a film starring Johnny Deep and Angelina Jolie that looked interesting. Without further ado, get ready to establish relationships with a stranger because we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos mis queridos turistas viajeros del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, el otro día tenía ganas de ver algún filme pero no tenía ganas de escogerlo solo de ver algo sin ninguna clase de expectativa al respecto, es por ello que me fui a las capturas que tengo guardadas y fue cuando apareció “The Tourist” un filme protagonizado por Johnny Deep y Angelina Jolie que lucía interesante. Sin más que agregar, prepárense para establecer relaciones con una desconocida pues estamos por comenzar.
The Tourist was released in 2010, it is an adaptation of a French film called "The Secret of Anthony Zimmer" released in 2005 and directed by Jérôme Salle, it was directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, produced by Sony Pictures and GK Films, it has a duration of 1 hour and 43 minutes. It is a comedy with suspense, the story focuses on a woman named Elise Clifton-Ward who is being watched by police officers, all this because she is the lover of a man named Alexander Pearce who is wanted for evading taxes after having stolen a large sum of money from a very dangerous gangster, things begin to move when she begins to receive several letters from her lover in which she gives her precise instructions that she must follow to the letter if she wants them to meet again, during this whole process she drags a professor from the United States named Frank Tupelo, who was only looking for tourism in Europe, however, he will be involved in a highly dangerous adventure both due to the involvement of crime figures and the police.

Es una comedia con suspenso, la historia se centra en una mujer llamada Elise Clifton-Ward la cual está siendo vigilada por agentes policiales, todo esto debido a que es la amante de un hombre llamado Alexander Pearce quien es buscado por evadir impuestos tras haber robado una fuerte suma de dinero a un gánster muy peligroso, las cosas se empiezan a mover cuando comienza a recibir diversas cartas de su amante en las cuales le da instrucciones precisas que debe seguir al pie de la letra si quiere que se reencuentren, durante todo este proceso ella arrastra a un profesor de estados unidos de nombre Frank Tupelo, el cual solo buscaba hacer turismo por Europa, no obstante, será implicado en una aventura altamente peligrosa tanto por la implicación de figuras del crimen como de la policía.

The soundtrack is regular, it contains very beautiful musical pieces because it is composed mostly of orchestral music, however, although it is very beautiful and enjoyable it does not have a remarkable influence within the film nor does it magnify the scenes.
La banda sonora es regular, la misma contiene piezas musicales muy hermosas debido a que se compone mayormente por música orquestal, sin embargo, pese a que la misma es muy hermosa y disfrutable la misma no tiene una influencia destacable dentro del filme ni tampoco engrandece las escenas.
The construction of the world does not stand out for anything, throughout the film different countries are visited where the events are unfolding, however, these scenarios do not really stand out in any way so it ends up being a section that never has real importance, it does not even have curious camera angles to stand out at least for this, In general terms, it is a section that does not contribute anything and feels like filler more than anything else.
La construcción del mundo no destaca por nada, a lo largo de la cinta se visitan diferentes países en donde se van desarrollando los acontecimientos, no obstante, dichos escenarios realmente no destacan de ninguna forma por lo que termina siendo un apartado que nunca tiene verdadera importancia, ni siquiera tiene ángulos de cámara curiosos como para destacar por lo menos por esto, en líneas generales es un apartado que no aporta nada y se siente como relleno más que otra cosa.
The plot is extremely soda and boring, it focuses exaggerated on sexual tension and attraction among the protagonists, however, this relationship feels stagnant for what its lack of evolution makes everything feel without progress or purpose. Narratively is tedious to see, additional to the aforementioned are some scenes of both action and suspense, the problem with the latter is that they are developed very poor and rough because they end up being more annoying than anything else, in addition, the tape feels repetitive by following a formula of the woman to disappear, Frank gets into trouble and is rescued. Last but not least are their plot turns, these are one of the worst things that it has since they never explain or give clues for them, they are only done and a pedorra justification is given for them, this cluster of errors makes it a boring tape and difficult to see, to the point of even perceive more extensive than it really is.
La trama es sumamente sosa y aburrida, la misma se centra de forma exagerada en la tensión sexual y atracción entre los protagonistas, sin embargo, esta relación se siente estancada por lo que su falta de evolución hace que todo se sienta sin avance o propósito. Narrativamente es tediosa de ver, adicional a lo antes mencionado están algunas escenas tanto de acción como de suspenso, el problema con estos últimos es que son desarrollados de manera muy pobre y tosca por lo que terminan siendo más molestos que otra cosa, además, la cinta se siente repetitiva al seguir una fórmula de la mujer desaparecer, Frank se mete en problemas y es rescatado. Por último pero no menos importante están sus giros argumentales, estos son unas de las peores cosas que tiene puesto que nunca se explican ni se dan pistas para los mismos, solo se hacen y se da una justificación pedorra para los mismos, este cúmulo de errores hace que sea una cinta aburrida y difícil de ver, a tal punto de incluso percibirse más extensa de lo que realmente es.
Nothing to highlight here, the characters are empty and the romance that arises between them feels artificial and one-dimensional, only this changes when the narrative requires it but it doesn"t really feel like a natural feeling of the character. Both the antagonists and the villain are very forgettable, completely flat and boring to the point that they do not contribute significantly to the narrative.
Nada que destacar aquí, los personajes son vacíos y el romance que surge entre estos se siente artificial y unidimensional, únicamente esto cambia cuando la narrativa así lo requiere pero realmente no se siente como un sentir natural del personaje. Tanto los antagonistas como el villano son muy olvidables, completamente planos y aburridos al punto de que no aportan de forma significativa a la narrativa.
The Tourist is one of those films that sound good in thought but when executed they turn out to be a complete disaster with all the law, it has no character that is remarkable and its plot twists are complete garbage, it is difficult to say any positive element that the film has since from the beginning it feels like an insurmountable disaster. It is for all of the above that it deserves 1.5 stars out of 7, a pretty meh film in general, it does not stand out for anything and the only reason to see it would be just to see how bad it is.
The Tourist es de esos filmes que en el pensamiento suenan bien pero cuando se ejecutan resultan ser un completo desastre con todas las de la ley, no tiene personaje alguno que sea destacable y sus giros argumentales son una completa basura, es difícil decir algún elemento positivo que tenga la cinta puesto que desde el vamos se siente como un desastre insalvable. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 1.5 estrellas de 7, una cinta bastante meh en general, no destaca por nada y la única razón para verla sería solo por ver lo mala que es.
