Areca nut mushroom

in Fungi Loverslast year

Hello friends, nice to meet you, my name is Lukman and in essence I am known as @petani. friends, this is the first time I am trying to work up the courage to join the fungus lovers community suggested by @ridwanms to expand my knowledge and experience. And hopefully we can be good friends here.

Oh yes, this is a fungus that grows on areca nuts that are being dried in the sun. This fungus will grow if it doesn't rain often during the drying process of areca nut.

This fungus will grow if we immediately dry the freshly picked areca nut in the hot sun, then for 10 days it will produce mushrooms like this. So, on the other hand, if we leave the areca nut withered and falls by itself from the tree and often gets waterlogged, the fungus will grow. almost like this.

But what I'm photographing now is not mushrooms from betel nuts that are standing in water, but it's almost the same.

OK, that's enough for this meeting, we will meet differently next time

Those mushroom are unique to see, I think we can't found that kind of mushroom here in our country.

oh, where?
Do you also live in Indonesia?

I lived in the Philippines, my Brother.

Cool stuff, even tho it is harmful for the nuts. Thanx for sharing! ☘️

I should be grateful because I didn't know it was poisonous
