My Special Day with my Oldest Daughter (En/ Es)

Today I want to share with you my special day with my oldest daughter; one day before Mother's Day, she wanted to take me to the salon with her to have my hair done as part of my Mother's Day gift. So we both left very early in the morning because we were both going to be attended by our favorite hairdresser. When we arrived, she was given a new hair color that she wanted, to radically change her style, as she went from blonde to copper and I just wanted to cut my hair a little more than usual, as I have discovered that I am attacked by the heat these days and to walk around with a bun, I prefer to cut it a little.

Hoy quiero compartirles mi día especial al lado de mi hija mayor; un día antes del día de las madres, ella quiso llevarme al salón de belleza, junto con ella para que me arreglaran también mi cabello, como parte del regalo del día de las madres. Así que salimos las dos bien temprano en la mañana porque nos iban a atender a las dos, nuestra peluquera favorita. Al llegar, a ella le aplicaron un nuevo tiente que quería, para cambiar radicalmente de estilo, pues paso de rubia a cobriza y yo solo quería cortarme el cabello un poco más de lo habitual, ya que he descubierto que me ataca el calor por estos días y para andar con un moño, prefiero cortarlo un poco.

After we left the salon and after thanking our hairdresser, my daughter invited me to lunch, as it was already lunch time. We went to one of my favorite restaurants, “La Sabana” which is a restaurant set in an old colonial style house, with a somewhat vintage decor, which I love. We arrived at the place and at once we located ourselves in one of its spaces, because it has two environments: one that overlooks a splendid outdoor terrace and another that has full air conditioning and is also very nice; this time we located ourselves in the one with air, because the heat was oppressive.

Después de que salimos de la peluquería y luego de darle las gracias a nuestra peluquera, mi hija me invitó a almorzar, pues ya era hora del almuerzo. Fuimos a unos de mis restaurantes preferidos, "La Sabana" que es un restaurante ambientado en una vieja casona de estilo colonial, con una decoración un tanto vintage, que me encanta. Llegamos al lugar y de una vez nos ubicamos en uno de sus espacios, pues tiene dos ambientes: uno que da a una espléndida terraza al aire libre y otro que tiene full aire acondicionado y es bien lindo también; esta vez nos ubicamos en el del aire, pues el calor era agobiante.

And I wanted to try the house soup, which I had not tried, and my daughter wanted a cachapa with hand cheese and ham, which are also very tasty there. While we were waiting for our order, we took more pictures, talked catching up, as my daughter works a pretty heavy schedule and we hardly see each other during the week; so this was the perfect time for her and me to share. When the food arrived, we accompanied it with a delicious lemon juice, which is very refreshing. When I saw my food, I couldn't believe the quantity. They serve quite a lot in their calderito, since they don't serve it on a plate, but directly in a cauldron, a very original way of presenting it, not to mention the cachapa, extra large. When we finished eating, we had to order the rest to take away, we couldn't take it all, ha, ha, ha, ha.

Y yo quería probar la sopa de la casa, que no la había probado, y mi hija quiso una cachapa con queso de mano y jamón, que también son muy sabrosas allí. Mientras esperábamos nuestro pedido, nos tomamos más fotos, hablamos poniéndonos al día, ya que mi hija trabaja con un horario bastante fuerte y apenas si nos vemos entre semana; así que este fue el momento perfecto para compartir ella y yo. Cuando llegó la comida, la acompañamos con un rico jugo de papelón con limón, que es muy refrescante. Cuando vi mi comida, no podía creer la cantidad. Sirven bastante en su calderito, pues no sirven en plato, sino directo en un caldero, una forma muy original de presentarlo y ni se diga la cachapa, extra grande. Al terminar de comer, tuvimos que pedir el resto para llevar, no pudimos con tanto, ja, ja, ja.

I had a great day before Mother's Day; I feel blessed to be able to enjoy these moments with each of my children. Lately, I have been going out with each of them separately, I hope tomorrow, God willing, to celebrate with my 3 treasures. This was a good prelude to tomorrow. I hope that all the mothers of this beautiful community have a blessed day, that they are very spoiled, that they are filled with love and smiles, that they feel special, because they are and they deserve it, so enjoy their day to the fullest, as God willing I plan to do it. Because being a mother is not just anything, don't doubt it my friends: hugs to all of you!

Pasé un día previo al día de las madres, genial; me siento bendecida por poder disfrutar con cada uno de mis hijos, estos momentos. Últimamente, he salido con cada uno de ellos por separado, espero mañana, Dios mediante, celebrarlo con mis 3 tesoros. Esta fue una buena antesala al día de mañana.
