Hello friends, how are you? I hope you are all doing well. Welcome to my new post. A few days ago, we were taken on a picnic from our college and the significance of this was one of the main places. We had originally decided on one and that was one of the districts of our Bangladesh, that is, Gaibandha. One of the districts of our Bangladesh is this Gaibandha and this Gaibandha district has a lot of significance. There is a lot of history and tradition in this Gaibandha district.
Basically, we friends all went there together. Anyway, our journey started in the morning and we reached there almost in the afternoon. We went there with our friends and our bus journey was quite wonderful. We had a lot of fun in that bus journey. We first went to Gaibandha district and from there we went to Balashi Ghat. This ghat has a lot of tradition. Earlier, when various launches from Dhaka used to come to our districts of North Bengal. Gaibandha district was one of them and the launches used to arrive here, that is, this ghat used to stand, so it is very familiar to the people of this area.
First we went there then our sir arranged a boat. Which cost 1200 taka. We all went to the ghat together then we all boarded the boat together. When the boatman started the boat, the boat started moving in the water and then we slowly went to the middle of the Brahmaputra river. As you can see, this is a river coming from the Himalayan mountains. It is originally formed from the Himalayas. Then it entered Bangladesh through India. There is a lot of history and tradition in this river. The Brahmaputra river was once quite big in Bangladesh. Now it has accumulated a lot of silt due to which the river is very well divided.
Our teacher went up on the roof of a boat and some of my friends went up. I was basically down then. Anyway, we sang songs then, we have many songs in Bengali language, we sang them and we had a lot of fun on the boat. The water of the river was quite cold because the winter has passed and the current autumn is going on. Due to which it was seen that the water is still a little cold, so it is quite normal for the water to be cold from the two Himalayas.
We saw an island in the middle of the river. Which was basically in the middle of the river and we saw many houses on it. At first we thought that these houses might be located on the banks of the river. Later we realized that it was located in the middle of the river. We asked the middle of our boat to take us there. Then the boat slowly moved there and we all got down there together. Then our sir asked us to play different games. This was cock fighting for the boys, which is a traditional game of our Bangladesh. Besides, the girls played pillow games at that time. Later we arranged prizes for those who were the winners.
The unique beauty of this river fascinated us a lot. Especially that island in the middle of the river and many houses on it. People live there and they mainly travel by boat. They do not have any roads there. Anyway, we looked around pretty well and we explored the river by boat for about an hour. I hope you like this post of mine.
