Abbotshall Afternoon Autumn Amble

in Wednesday Walk7 days ago (edited)

Hello Hello Hivers, Hivians and any other wonderful being who has stumbled onto this!

Welcome to Wednesday.

The weather was gorgeous today, very sunny and it did top at 13 degrees.

When I say gorgeous, there was sun and sky that was blue with white clouds!

But as I was working inside I was looking out the windows forlornly but come 4.57pm I had finished all I needed to and escaped three minutes before the clock struck 5pm!

Oh to be a daredevil!

I thought I would see how the trees were looking and as it was getting late, perhaps the sun might help.

Cars, trains and blowup men!

There are two streets that I personally like. King Edward Street and this one...

William Street

Do you know why? Well it is one of my middle names! Do you have middle names?

image.png

Pinks and purples I do love a wax begonia, and this bed of them are thriving in the autumn sun!

image.png

Of course Autumn or Fall means who get the evergreens jostling with position with the naked trees!

Choo Choo

Yep this is the bridge which that train passed through a few minutes ago. Well we have 5.02 pm now!

No edits, nature is full of natural light!

Even at 5pm on an autumn night!

Beveridge Park

Sunlight providing a cracking wee backdrop

Bare Naked Trees!

I do like to try and capture a bird flying in pictures, it just gives things a wee bit of je ne sais qois.

image.png

Stunning sunsets...

image.png

And then this one tree all light up, nature at her finest!

image.png

The changing of the leaf

Of course not all leaves just fall to the ground, some gradually turn to yellows, gold and reds and make quite the gorgeous picture!

Here we see the start of some turners!

5.12pm I need to get my arse in gear and not be late to meet Mrs T!

What a gorgeous day out there! You really managed to snap some nice pictures of the city and the scenery. That park image with the columns came out great, such nice balance and beauty, very nice! I'm glad it was a great day for a walk in the park!
!DUO

Yeah I thought I was going to miss it completely as worky things had got in the way all day. Tomorrow they are forecasting some storm, meanwhile I am going out in the afternoon to another town. Ah well fun and games. The setting sun made for some nice scenery shots I think thank you 😀

Autumn, all seasons of the year have their charm, but I like autumn. You have taken some nice photos of those trees that are losing their leaves.
Nice route that you have chosen to meet Mrs. T. Beautiful season of the year for lovers, winter is coming soon and you have to take advantage of those walks.
Have a good weekend. 🤗

Winter feels like it is here now, today was a high of 8 degrees! Far too cold. Well tomorrow will walk to a little lake before it gets too cold.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend too :)

Sometimes when I see yellow leaves or leaves turn to yellow I would think if they are going with your season😌😌

hehe well tomorrow hopefully I get you some yellow gold and red leaves for you!

Nice weather, perfect for your Wednesday walk. And when the leaves turn yellow, they match the color of the tree and are also visually appealing. Nice sunset shot, by the way.

thank you and yes the colours are visually appealing and nature sure as heck makes for a great shot. Yes a perfect wee walk, and I hope you have a perfect weekend too!

Yellow: my favorite color!! I don't know whether to be grateful or sad because autumn doesn't exist in Venezuela. I have read so many poems about autumn and winter that I feel like I have experienced them. Over here there have been storms and the weather has also started to change. I send you a hug of yellow leaves and bare trees. 🍂

Hehe ah yes I know yellow is the favourite colour of Nancy, and of course it is in your flag! Ah well I think you would love to experience autumn and winter once. But no more than once haha! Aww be safe if you are having storms. I think there was one in England yesterday as well. An autumnal hug I give you now.

Yes, that's a walk! 👍

Checks Seck, yea a wee one!

That sunset behind the tree is probably my favorite. Do you get much color change there with the seasons or do they just kind of drop? It's been real low key here this year. I don't think we are going to get to see much color at all.

Yes I loved the tree with sunset behind it too. Well I am not so sure about the colours. I have been told and noticed the berries have been plentiful this year with the dry summer, it has shocked plants into producing more than normal. Hopefully will go on a wee country walk to the lake tomorrow and see what colours are about. It is not as colourful as in previous years I agree.

We had a big wind and rain storm the other day and that effectively knocked everything down off the trees for the most part. It's pretty gray now!

Was out for a hike round the lake yesterday and I saw some gorgeous colours, plenty of leaves still on the trees. Seems the latest storm only hit England over here.

You lucky fella! Those are beautiful!

Yeah they really were

The shot of the bridge, trees and the place are all nice..

I do like the railway bridge too, thank you and have a great weekend.
