Human beings are quite different in their likes and dislikes so also me too. I also have things I love and can involve myself in, part of those things I hate the most is politics. I can proudly say I hate it with passion, maybe it's because of the part of the world I come from, I never can say!
Here in Africa most especially in my beloved country Nigeria, politics is a do or die affair and a lot of people kill themselves all because of greed for power. This greed is what that's killing the political system.
Politics here in Nigeria is full of deceit and the kind of dirty games politicians play makes me hate politics more. I find it difficult to understand how politicians can be so determined to clear off whoever crosses them, they kill one another all because they are aspiring for a post.... What a shame!
During election periods in Nigeria, everyone lives in fear of the unknown, there is always record of killings in almost all regions in the country, some regions are even known as death zone when it comes to elections.
Members of different political parties are always over zealous when it comes to elections and this usually leads to conflict which most times lead to destruction of lives and properties. So I'm always afraid when it comes to politics and I don't involve myself in it at all, please I can't kill myself!
Have you ever engaged in politics before?
I've never engaged in anything politics in my entire life and I don't think I will ever involve myself in it. Though I don't know if I have the opportunity to travel out of my country and I see how the nation I'm residing is functioning, I might be convinced and be involved in politics.
But if I'm still in Nigeria, I can never engage in politics, I prefer to be a citizen and live my life peacefully than engage in politics and begin to live in fear.
So for now if I have the opportunity to pursue a career as a politician, I will never grab the offer, I prefer to go for another career than been a politician. Though I don't know what the future holds but for now, I don't have any interest at all.
We all in the Nigeria are suffering from bad leaders and we are praying to have a functioning government but that doesn't convince me enough to join politics because I don't have the mind.
My zeal is for something else not politics at all, even if one doesn't want to be involved in the dirty games politicians are playing, the bad eggs are more than the good ones and the bad ones will definitely drag the good ones down and make sure their good visions will never comes to pass.
The only thing I can do with any position I am is to help humanity with whatever I have the capacity to do and by establishing a charity organization which is non-governmental. There are still people who runs organization and doesn't involve themselves in politics and they are known world wide. So I prefer to be known for doing good through my work and the organization I run, than be popular through my involvement in politics.
