Christmas Adventure

Christmas is a time for celebration, but it can also be a great opportunity to explore and try new things. This year, instead of spending the day at home surrounded by presents and food, I decided to take on a different kind of adventure - a mountain walk in Aytos, Burgas. It may seem like an unusual way to spend Christmas day, but for me, it was the perfect escape from the usual holiday routine.

The decision to take a mountain walk on Christmas day was not made lightly. As someone who grew up celebrating Christmas with family traditions and rituals, breaking away from that routine was initially daunting. As an old hiker and nature lover, I couldn't resist exploring this beautiful region during such a magical time of year.

The sun was shining bright in the clear blue sky above us, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our hike. As we took our first steps on the trail, we were greeted by a gentle breeze that carried with it the crisp scent of fresh air. It was invigorating to be surrounded by nature's beauty as we began our ascent.

The initial part of the hike was relatively easy as we made our way through now dead forest. The sound of birds chirping and the last surviving leaves rustling under our feet provided a soothing soundtrack for us to enjoy as we hiked deeper into nature's embrace.

As we continued along the trail, we were amazed by how well-maintained it was. There were clear green roads guiding us along every step of the way, making navigation effortless. We also noticed several picnic areas throughout our hike, inviting us to stop and take in the breathtaking views at any point we desired. It was evident that the trail was designed with both safety and enjoyment in mind.

As we gained altitude, the landscape started to change. We found ourselves surrounded by towering cliffs and rocky formations coated in velvety moss. At this point, we could hear the sound of a river nearby, which added to the tranquility of our surroundings. From the summit, we could see the entire Aytos region spread out before us, shimmering in the glow of the setting sun.

While some may see it as an unconventional choice, for me, taking a mountain walk on Christmas day was the perfect way to celebrate the holiday. It allowed me to appreciate the beauty of nature, escape the chaos of everyday life and create unforgettable memories. As I laced up my hiking boots on that chilly morning in Aytos, I knew it was going to be a Christmas day unlike any other.

As we gazed out over the vast landscape before us, we couldn't help but feel grateful for this amazing opportunity to explore nature's wonders. Tomorrow would bring hopefully new adventures and challenges as we continued our journey through this beautiful mountainous area. We couldn't wait to see where our hiking adventures would take us next time!

suffer from the past, to long for the future, but to forget the present.

It was unforgettable indeed, еspecially considering the fact that the next day we had terrible muscle pain and winter sun burn. 😅😂

Oh, I’m weird, but do love the muscle pain after a good workout 😁 Reminds me that I woke up some stagnant muscles! Sunburn not so much, but hey - you celebrated this xmas in Style 🤩🎄💙
