When I saw the topic of this episode, it felt as if it was meant for me because it was just yesterday I was thinking of what to do on my mom's birthday. So, when I saw the topic, I was like 'oh wow', because I didn't need to brainstorm so much. My mom's birthday anniversary is on the 1st of March, and that is like two weeks away from this day.
I have always wanted to do something grand for my mom on her birthday, but over the years, I have not always been opportuned to do so. Although, I do the little I can, I am always hoping that the coming year will be better and I will be able to do something amazing for her eventually. However, for this year, I decided to not console myself that the coming year will be better and try to do something different and better this year. It is not that I am even financially bouyant at the moment but I will pull resources together to make it a possibility. I discussed with my brother today and told him to get ready.
It will really mean so much to me to see my mom celebrate her special day in the most special way possible. It has always been my wish, and even this upcoming celebration is not the actual realization of my wish, but it's somewhat close. I do hope it keeps getting better and one day, I will be able to celebrate her in the grandest way I have imagined.
My mom is a government worker and a primary school teacher precisely, so she will be at work on this day since its on a Friday. Yesterday, I used style to ask her the number of staffs in her school, in a way she will never suspect. She told me the number and it was not so much, that was actually a relief. So, the first plan is do surprise her in school, with a cake and things for her fellow workers and her students. I am thinking of small chops + soft drinks for the staffs and biscuits for the student.
Then after she gets home, I would like for us (my brother and I) to take her out. I am not sure my dad will be around because of work (He mostly returns in the evening). I want us to take her to a cinema or probably a resturant and spend a good time there. A cinema will really be a good option because she hasn't been to one before.
Then when we get back home, we should sing for her and present her with our individual gifts. I am thinking of gifting her a fancy perfume because she loves perfumes so much. I don't know what my brother will get her yet but I know it will be a thoughful gift. Overall, I hope she really enjoys the day and marks it as one of the happiest days of her life.
