Jollof Rice is one of the most popular Nigerian foods. Thare are different ways to make Jollof Rice and that’s why they all taste differently mainly because some people have the complete ingredient so their taste well and better than normal.
I’ll be making a spicy Jollof Rice which tastes more spicy than the usual Jollof Rice and I want you all to learn from me.
Here are all the ingredients I need to make my Jollof Rice.
Veg. Oil
Onions
Tomato paste
Pepper
Salt
Seasoning
Rice
The usual way to make Jollof Rice is by making the paste before adding the Rice but for me, I want to per boil the Rice first before making my paste.
It took me five minutes to per boil my Rice making sure that it does not get too soft before adding it to my pepper mix or paste.
I then made my pepper mix which will be explained with the use of pictures.
After pouring my onions and veg. oil, the next thing is my tomato mix, pepper, salt and seasoning. Jollof Rice is an easy to make food with a simple process but can also have a bad taste depending on how you make it and how much seasoning you put.
If you want to make this recipe, you have to be careful of the amount of seasoning to use. I’m not the kind of chef who is used to measuring the amount of seasoning in a food. I can measure with my eyes and I’m good at it.
After my paste has been well mixed, I’ll now pour my per boiled Rice into the pepper mix.
Then, the final process is making it dry and dishing it well in my plate. I also boiled an egg alongside my Rice which will serve as a means of protein for my meal.
Thank you for making my Jollof Rice with me. As you can see, the pepper isn’t fully grinded which will make it more spicy while eating the pepper.
Happy Sunday to you all.
