Street Juggler
Juggling is the art of manipulating and performing shows with one or more objects at a time, turning them over, keeping them in balance or throwing them into the air alternately, without allowing them to fall to the floor.
Juggling is known for its difficulty and visual beauty, and it requires a certain psychomotor skill on the part of the performer, being one of the classic attractions of circuses.
It is also known under this term to the ingenious and complicated action that is performed with the purpose of getting out of a difficult or compromised situation.
In the city, as in much of the country, it is common to find people at traffic lights cleaning the windshields of cars in exchange for a small contribution in cash, however, at various times I have encountered this man who usually juggles with balls or fruits, and usually wearing a small tie, and occasionally a red nose like those used by clowns in the circus.
I have always wanted to photograph or record him while he performs his maneuvers, and yesterday, as soon as he noticed that I was directing my phone towards him, he released the fruits he was holding in his hands to perform an improvised dance routine to the delight of all the drivers who had coincided at that traffic light.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Malabarismo es el arte de manipular y ejecutar espectáculos con uno o más objetos a la vez, volteándolos, manteniéndolos en equilibrio o arrojándolos al aire alternativamente, sin permitir que caigan al piso.
Los malabares se conocen por su dificultad y belleza visual, y para esto se necesita cierta habilidad psicomotriz por parte de quien los realiza, siendo esto unas de las atracciones clásicas de los circos.
También se conoce bajo este término a la acción ingeniosa y complicada que se realiza con la finalidad de salir airoso de una situación difícil o comprometida.
En la ciudad, al igual que en gran parte del país, es común encontrar personas en los semáforos limpiando los parabrisas de los carros a cambio de una pequeña colaboración en efectivo, sin embargo, en diversos momentos me he encontrado con este hombre que acostumbra realizar malabares con pelotas o frutas, y que suele vestir una pequeña corbata, y ocasionalmente, una nariz roja como las que usan los payasos en el circo.
Siempre he querido fotografiarlo o grabarlo mientras realiza sus maniobras, y el día de ayer, apenas notó que estaba dirigiendo mi teléfono hacia el, soltó las frutas que tenía en sus manos para ejecutar una improvisada rutina de baile para el deleite de todos los conductores que habíamos coincidido en ese semáforo.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
