Rest
Rest is not only the stillness or interruption we make in the middle of work or other activity, it is actually giving a pause to the nervous system, the accelerated mind and emotions that we accumulate daily, which helps us to relieve fatigue and physical or moral ailments.
At the beginning of last June, I traveled with my sister and our mother to Tucacas, a small town located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, which in the course of the last decades has become one of the main tourist destinations in Venezuela for its beautiful beaches of warm and blue waters, ideal for relaxation or the practice of water sports.
Although our trip was brief because it had no touristic purpose, on the contrary, it was to attend to some personal matters; we took advantage of the hot and clear day to swim in the swimming pools of the residential complex where we were staying, during which time I took this couple of pictures of my mother while she was taking a short nap.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Descanso
El descanso no es solo la quietud o la interrupción que hacemos en medio del trabajo o de otra actividad, en realidad es darle una pausa al sistema nervioso, a la mente acelerada y a las emociones que acumulamos diariamente, lo cual nos ayuda a aliviar la fatiga y las dolencias físicas o morales.
A principios del pasado mes de Junio, viajé en compañía de mi hermana y nuestra madre a Tucacas, una pequeña población ubicada a orillas del Mar Caribe, que en el transcurso de las últimas décadas se ha convertido en uno de los principales destinos turísticos de Venezuela por sus hermosas playas de aguas cálidas y azuladas, ideales para el descanso o la práctica de deportes acuáticos.
Aunque nuestro viaje fué breve porque no tenía un propósito turístico, por el contrario, era para atender algunos asuntos personales; aprovechamos el día caluroso y despejado para bañarnos en las piscinas del complejo residencial donde estuvimos alojados, momento durante el cual le tomé este par de fotos a mi madre mientras tomaba una corta siesta.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
